UPDATE ON THE MOON KINGDOM
So I have posted in an Inkitt group on Facebook about THE MOON KINGDOM. I talked about this friend telling me that my “subspecies” was too complicated and that I should take some notes from Brandon Sanderson because his fantasy books are amazing.
I tried to explain the whole subspecies to this friend but he more or less told me, instead of suggesting, to cut them out altogether. Which, just drove me to bench the story until I just said: “fuck it”. I created the cover for it and I just went with it. Now I just need to name the characters in a more realistic way so it all fits together. But, I haven’t found the right names yet.
So, I posted in the group and this is what people advised me to do:
person #01:
“do it! best thing of inkitt is the feedback from readers, if someting isnt adding up, you can change it easily. that was the idea of the founder, sharing stories and giving feedback. do with the feedback what you want”
person #02:
“The obvious: stop planning and just write. Make things up along the way.”
person #03:
" Just write it. There is a reason why there are such things as drafts. The first draft is never perfect, it is to pen the idea down. Then comes the drafts after. Editing, fixing loops holes and so forth. If you believe in your story, then your audience will be there! The important thing I believe (my opinion) is to write the story for yourself."
person #04:
“We kinda same . I have lots of story that I plan the whole plot and ending. But what I did is just whenever I am in mood I just keep on writing it. Also before I publish it, I read it again and again, add some scene then publish it…
And I advice you to ignore the one who says that to your story… just keep on writing even though your genre is different… because not all people have the same taste…
I also advice you to maybe watch or read the same genre you are writing so you can get inspirations to write like me…Fighting sis”

“I’m a planner also. I always have a start and a finish and then figure out the middle as I go. I write and rewrite over and over until it flows and makes sense. Do you have someone you can bounce ideas off of?
I know it’s easier said than done but try not to let people discourage you. It’s your story and you have full creative control. You got this! Don’t let that person rob you of your creativity, vision and joy.”
So, I guess I should take this advice and just write it huh? I just might!
I just need to find good names and make them all fit in together.
