I got no reading done and barely any writing. I’ve been in a slump since vacation. I did apply to 2 MFA creative writing programs though. One is completely online which would of course be the easiest option for me. The other one has 3 residencies, one of which is in NY city for a few days during which I will get to meet agents and workshop my ideas with them and learn more about publishing industry. I would LOVE to do that one, but realistically idk if I can do the 3 week long residencies in 2 years.
That said, I’m not entirely sure I’m going to do the programs. There are teaching assistantships for each one, so that will give me teaching experience and help pay some of the tuition. I also have some tuition reimbursement from working at the hospital.
But…idk that it’s worth it to have a 2nd graduate degree. It could open a lot of doors with teaching jobs and just writing in general- a community of peers. But student loan debt…

I hear you! Go with your gut! What you want to pursue for a dream job. I will say I have three different degree/ diplomas and I use none of them haha I ended up selling my soul to a financial job.
Honestly. I just type Chapter 1 at the top. Pick a font theme I want for the headers of the document. Then just start writing… I don’t do a whole ton until I’ve gotten the first chapter written and then I just copy whatever I decided for the first one.

Happy Monday! Yall my life is such a joke sometimes… I was feelling a little depressed and down on Saturday. Like groundhog day, I’ve been really tired still and having a hard time getting through the day just energy wise from this stupid disease. (New GI appointment in less than 10 days so yay!) But I took both my daughters on a mommy daughter date and we went and explored the rich people town near us. Went to a nice playground, were going to go to lunch, and then to the beach. It was supposed to be perfect. Well the place we wanted to go had an hour and 45 minute wait. So we went to some other place… I got food poisioning… like seriously. I was finally doing something fun and trying to feel better and not like every day is the exact same and I got freaking food poisioning… Ugh. Other than that though the day was fun ish. Would have been better if my husband was there haha.

Happy Monday! Look I’m starting to get into the swing of thing again… Now to just get my reading done XD But I’m pretty sure we are going on week 162 of me trying to finish the book I’m reading IRL and not on a screen… so yeah. We are not doing so well in that department haha. Hopeful for a good week for everyone.
No worries I feel that in my bones lol been slogging through the work STILL waiting on rthat vaca lol. And I am super stoked for your Maid to the princess idea!
Thats a great question. I am pretty sure you can google or there are youtube videos out there I think I watched one for mine and have my drafts at 1.5 for spacing cause it’s easier to read and edit as I go.

Nothing done for me >.< October has been a slog of work and trying to front load aalot of it so I have to study for my designation and time to write come draft November. I am foregoing NANO this year with all that has gone down but still aiming for 50k if anyone wants an accountability buddy. <3 Will also be using the time to try and get caught up!
