Does your current story project have a demograph you are writing for?

Any would be good for me…

Current novel? Think adult is the most fitting, but some older teens would like it too

I’ll be happy with just about anyone reading it if they’re interested (except kids, this particular story may be too mature)

It can depend. I knew a girl who grew up watching Nightmare on Elm Street. I wonder how old she was when she learned what a pedophile was.

True, true. Depends on the individual.

It depends solely on whether or not it’s too mature, right now, or not. That’s the end of my thinking about it.

Not published (unless Wattpad counts lol), but it varies.

I mostly write toward the older teens, younger adults. Like 16-24.

I write between YA and NA, so it seems reasonable. On the YA spectrum, most of the books would lean more toward upper-YA (16-18), especially since I write about characters between these age groups. Though, they’re often 17-18. But I keep in mind of the young YA readers (13-15) and try to make it less… mature, dark, etc. for them. My stories are good to be consumed by just about anyone above, at least, 12. Even my NA novels aren’t too bad.

Taste of Italy is a new adult romance novel and there’s no spice. In the Dark is a new adult murder mystery novel, and there’s also no spice, but there is a heavy dose of foul language and I also try to be as graphic as possible when it comes to the gore. So… while most teens can read Taste of Italy, In the Dark might be a different story.

Depending on the genre I write, I try to aim for either gender as well. My romances and contemporaries are aimed toward women, but I wanted to aim the murder mystery and my current work in progress toward men a bit more. I think a part of it is why I went with a male perspective for both of these stories.

YA, so 13-18 preferably, but adults will also enjoy. Proved by age of betas.

One of my betas was 15 and she enjoyed it, so that’s good.

Maybe myself, but I have no clue what demographic would flock to it. Maybe its structure would lead to some curiosity reads.
