I was looking for a name for a fictional golden flower that only exists on Alagossia. So, I decided to go to FantasyNameGenerator.com to scan for names. There’s a category called Fantasy Plant Names, and I decided to search there. I glanced at the options to find the most random and funny hindsight name to use for a flower.
King’s Touch-Me-Not. I kid you not when I tell you it’s stupid perfect and stupid silly for a golden flower. Though it needs an alternative name as a way of shortening it. So, I have to search again. I found a shorter version of the flower and decided to call it Hellebore.
I love how random this website is with their names.

Thoughts and feelings?
I always end up tweaking names that come from fantasy generators. They are a great place to start and get inspiration, but I never like what they put out so I always make minor adjustments.
I try not to use real flowers or plants, because I like to think Alagossia is alien in comparison to Earth. Even with tweaking things a bit, I consider Alagossia different from Earth entirely… in some ways.
Although the name I chose for the flower is close to another flower I mentioned moments ago, just a reference/nod to Midas Touch/King Midas.
