It’s a free writing tool, I think of it kinda like a free Scrivener - it comes with options to create character sheets and separate drafts, all within the same project. It also has really cool themes, but most importantly - it’s Europe-based and strongly anti-AI.
So if you’ve been looking for an alternative to Google Docs, this might be it. It has a collaboration feature, where you can invite fellow users to leave comments on and edit your draft.
It doesn’t have an app, but it works in browser, both on web and mobile. They also have a paid version, but I haven’t tried that one yet.
Doesn’t it?? I’m an invererate MS Word user and I find it difficult to transition existing projects to a new tool (I only ever used Google Docs as back-up storage or to collaborate on manuscripts).
But it’s a great option if you want to keep your project completely online and always accessible. I might try it when I start something new from scratch, or if I need a beta reader or something. I already like that it’s so pretty
right?? at first, when my friend she was using it with her beta readers i thought, ehhhhhh do i really want another account on another platform i will never use again?
but then she mentioned they’re anti-AI and i was like say less! lol
i have been trying it a little bit, and i like that they have a mobile browser version. downside is you always need an internet connection. but i like it so far.
