Has there ever been a song, that one song (maybe more depending solely on you) that gave you some serious goosebumps? Like the song was that good that the hairs on your body stood and your skin felt prickly?
I don’t care what genre you listen to, yet whatever one that is, there has to be that one or more songs that really gave you chills, right?
Tell me, which song is that? Show a video from YouTube if you have to.
Bonus Question:
How often do you get an earwig? You know when you listen to a certain song and it gets stuck in your head, corrupting your thoughts till you want to snap, because you can’t seem to get rid of it until you finally do? How do you normally handle those when you get it?
If a song hasn’t done that for, ever, then list a novel with moments in the story that has done that or moments from your own novel that you’ve written or are writing that did the same thing?
I actually have a looooooot of songs that give me goosebumps, depending on my emotional state when I listen to them. I get tingles while listening to music a lot though, so it’s hard for me to pick just one song. I think the last one that did it for me was Take Me Back To Eden by Sleep Token.
As for the bonus question, I also constantly have one song or another stuck in my head. It is never silent in my brain, there is always background music. Currently it’s Violets are Blue by SKYND.
This always seems to happen to me when we’re in a restaurant or bar and there’s a lot of noise. I’ll hear some song I’ve never heard before that totally gives me goosebumps and I’ve just got to find out what the song is. If I could just hear enough of the lyrics I could find the name of the song with Google, but there’s always too much talking and noise so I can never hear any of the words and I can never find out the title or artist. And invariably I never ever hear the song ever again. This happens to me all the time! So frustrating! (ノ_<、)ヾ(´▽`)
The first time I heard Rise by Caroline Jones. Idk why. It’s not like her voice is unique or spectacular, but the lyrics and the melody just got me somehow.
Sawyer Fredericks singing gives me chills each time. The first time I heard him was on The Voice and he did Constant Sorrow. But you know, The Voice, they do things to the voices to “make it sound better”. I found a version where he’s just playing with a band and it’s so much more authentic.
Also, this particular street performance by Light in Babylon. This video was the first time I discovered them and her voice is just something else. But one of my favorite videos of Michal is this one. This is when she was singing with her bandmate at some kind of singing circle or convention or something. The way her voice is and how everyone is together and united is just beautiful.
