Room 123

This room is bright and airy. The windows show a pleasing, tropical landscape that doesn’t belong to Tenebris; rather, it appears to show a completely different part of the world.

There is a strange aura here. Not a pen nor a scrap of paper is in sight. You try to take a picture, but when you look at your camera roll, the image is distorted and unrecognizable. There is powerful magic here.

Raza: My dearest friends, how pleased I am that you have entrusted me with Smoke and Mirrors! As a result of this magnanimous gift, I was able to acquire a bigger, better room for us – one warded against unfriendly eyes or ears. Anything you say or do here will be safe in this room.

I have a lead on where you might search to find the Book of Creation. I will continue to investigate and as soon as I know more, I will tell you.

Raza: I am just in the dark as you are regarding the Book of Destruction.

My plans for making magic equal? Allow me to give you some background. The seeking is an unfair ritual. Many try it only to fail time and time again while some can pass without any effort. Most never get to use magic at all while the small minority are allowed to wield it. I want to use the books to rid of that ritual, allowing everyone to use it.

Historically, The Order’s way of addressing things is to lock them down tighter. Due to recent events, I worry that the Great Wizard’s “fixing” of magic will be to make it even less accessible than it already is.

As for how many floors there are here… There are three floors of the inn available to patrons.

Raza: As I am a patron, if there are, I wouldn’t know. Further questions about the hotel should be directed to the hotel staff, not me.

Raza: No, there’s not. It’s what makes the process so incredibly absurd.

Raza: How indeed? It’s a good question, one you might want to ponder before you put more faith in the Order. Why would they set you up to fail?

@/lst-my-shp-silI’ve noticed this as well. The Great Wizard said that the Necromancer was trying to cover up the fact that magic is going away. Where do you think that magic could be going?

Raza: I am unsure of their motives. They say the magic is draining, and yet…is there any proof that’s what’s actually happening? They’re secretive, keeping knowledge from the public for “their own good.” They’ve already shown they haven’t told the whole truth.

@/shrumplings: Is that why they are so secretive? They just want to lock everything up for “safety.” But why? Wouldn’t be better if the academies knew that magic was dying . I mean, we would’ve picked up the pace on the scrolls.

Raza: What even is their interpretation of “safety”? Have they been forthcoming on what, exactly, they’re trying to protect you from?

@/dumplingbabe: why does the order not do this? is there a reason why they want to keep magic restricted to certain people?
Raza: If they have a reason, do you think they would have shared it with me? My answer would only be speculation. But I do think it’s suspicious who advances in their Order and who does not. That being said, yes. I think I have a lead on the book. I found this , I know you’ve been looking for scroll pieces, and I happened upon it in the marketplace. However, on the back, was a map leading here. You should start there . I would have shared it sooner, but I wanted to try and get through the path myself, to ease the burden on you all. I haven’t been able to make heads or tails of it. Perhaps you will have more luck than I did.

Raza: Yes, it is. Mastering it would set apart any wizard who achieved it. I strive to one day be that wizard.

Raza: Yes, I was under the impression you all knew it belonged to me.

Raza: A slip of the tense. Dragadon still very much belongs to me.

Raza: No one has actually mastered time magic. It’s why I want to be the first.

Raza: Some would say I know him better than anyone.

@/lst-my-shp-sil: Wouldn’t the Order support that? You know, since you’re discovering and experimenting with new types of magic?

Raza: They only support magical experimentation when it suits them. I suspect they fear what might happen if time magic is actually mastered.

Raza: If I ever find out, I will let you know.
