Figured I would share this, just in case anyone here is interested in entering!
20 prompts, 20 profiles, and one spooky collaboration!
The Halloween Vault 2026 is officially live!
This October, 20 profiles challenge you to write a short story of 1,000-5,000 words, inspired by one of 20 spooky prompts. Whether you prefer ghosts, monsters, mysteries, or something a little more sinister, there’s a prompt waiting for you!
The deadline for submissions is 31 October 2026 at 23:59 EST.
Entries written in English, French, Italian, Arabic, Dutch, Polish, Sinhala, Korean, and Malay are accepted. There is a dedicated Spanish edition of Halloween Vault.
Head here for the prompts and further details: Halloween Vault 2026 (fright) - Fright | Ambassadors - Wattpad
But the Vault doesn’t stop at short stories! Starting on the 8th of October, they’ll also be bringing you three fun activities, with a new one each week.
So gather your courage, sharpen your quill, and venture into the Vault! Will you dare to enter?
They can’t wait to see what haunting tales you bring to life!
