How do I finally let go of this story for good?

Project Red is a story that I’ve been working on and off for the last several years. The issue with this story is the plot and characters along with the execution. This story has gone through MANY changes that it no longer fits what it once was originally. The most troubling part about this is my crazy stubbornness. I refuse to let go of this story and at the same time I might need to.

The reason why I keep going back to this story is because of what it could be. The problem is that I am getting nowhere with this story, absolutely nowhere.

Project Red is the bane of my existence and I need to let it go. Yet leaving the story unfinished bothers me as well.

I don’t know what to do and I need to figure it out soon.

I’m tired of this story! I’m so very tired of it!

This story poses a massive quandary to me and I am always conflicted on it.

Another thing that I forgot to mention is the title of the story throws me in a weird loop.

I’ve chosen Red Reign because I like the title for Project Red, but it’s getting harder to find that right story for the title.

That could also be it too. The title and trying to use my idea to fit it.

Many of us leave behind partials until we’re “more mature” and can handle the story efficiently. If you can emotionally set it aside and work on something else that doesn’t have as much of your heart–that’s pretty natural to do.

There is no real reason why it couldn’t be revisited in the future.
