Yes, actually. Zade is a l33t haxxor, but so is the main characters best friend, and every single person in the book calls everyone ‘bitch’. Doesn’t matter if the character is a twenty-something author or a “hard as nails” stalker-hitman-hackerman thingy. Everyone calls everyone bitch. Everyone.

Oh yeah, and I DNFd the book. Not because of the plot (the plot was not offensive to me, I could probably get behind it), but because of the writing. A shame, because some of the other books she has in her backlist seem interesting.

Once I saw “popping the p” on page 2, I knew that it would be a long road of suffering ahead.

Lmaooooo. Yeah… it is certainly something. No shade to the author at all, she is clearly very successful, but it just wasn’t for me. Maybe I will watch the movie just to see what the book was actually about, as I’m assuming she isn’t writing the script.

Maybe the young 'ens don’t read something like this book and make the connection. Zade Meadows immediately became a walking, talking meme because in my head all I could see was ‘HACKERMAN’. That and some other things. I beg authors realise that if they’re writing in first person, their POV swaps need to feel like a different POV

Yeah, that’s most definitely lost to the younger generation.
About as lost as “whosyourdaddy” or “how do you turn this on”.
