If I don’t find another story to focus my time on, I am going to lose it! LOL!
I finished Project Succession of course, but trying to give myself a well need break to start editing and revising is hard. I want to go to it immediately. I made a date for myself to start it on July 2, but I might have that be another date to start another story and start editing Project Succession in September or October.
The months I chose aren’t special in any way, I just chose two random months. I deserve a break, but not writing is making me lose my shit and I haven’t really thought of any other stories to work on.
Project Bloodline and Project Nightmare, I need to figure out what those should really be about. I still need to world-build Alagossia, but I want to understand what story I should work on next.
Am I crazy for wanting to jump back in so suddenly after I finished Project Succession weeks ago?
Nope, and if you want to, then why wait? I know a lot of writing advice peeps say let it sit awhile so you can look at it with fresh eyes, but really you’re going to have to edit it multiple times anyhow, so there’s no need to wait right now. Strike while the iron is hot and all that. ( ˆ◡ˆ)۶ ٩(˘◡˘ )
Your not crazy for wanting to keep the momentum flowing, but I’d still be mindful of the edits you need to do. Don’t just pencil them into a date of a month and loose track of them, go full throttle and sharpie them into the dates of the month in large letters that almost scream at you to do EDITS!.. Or you might just let them slip without a thought…
I guess that is why I write three to four chapters then edit, because if I don’t I will just let them sit and fester in a lesser state…
I saw “stir crazy” and thought you were suddenly obsessed with stir fry meals XD I thought, “yep, that sounds like Qualeshia. let’s see if she posted some photos of it.”
I work on one project after another and sometimes multiple at a time, so, you’re not crazy for wanting to get back into it in my eyes
