The tropes are: Beware of the nice ones and Beware of the silly ones.

When a character is a goofball comedic relief with a kind and friendly heart, until they need to get serious which always makes me smile. These characters just want to have a good time, share some laughs, and make friends. Even when they know when it’s time to get serious, turn off the silly, stop joking around and telling jokes, then get angry or sad within the appropriate situation. It’s even better when other characters were not expecting it at all, except for one or two characters. I love that they can still enjoy life and be an absolute goofball yet be more than that when the situation calls for it. I love it because everyone doesn’t expect that from them in the slightest because of how they present themselves. The reality is that they can only be that way for so long. They can’t be silly and nice forever, sometimes they have to be a rude asshole or sarcastic douche-bag when it’s warranted.
These types of characters are the WORST characters to piss off. It’s common in real life which is no surprise, sad yet true. You wouldn’t like it when these characters are angry.
Sometimes the character can be a combination of both tropes or one or the other.
My Turns:
Project Glorious
In Red Reign so far, I have one character that’s embodiment of this trope and more.
Kali is a nice, silly and friendly girl from the countryside who loves her wife and to help her brother and her father back home, along with her wife’s siblings as being the sole supporter to her family. Yes, Kali is goofy and loves to meet new people along with making friends. Though Kali is not a violent person, she isn’t some pushover. The woman will murder and/or beat the ass of anyone who threatens her wife, her family, her friends, and even herself. Kali is also not the brightest and yet she has her moments. I am going to love reading over her character development later in the story.
What about you guys? The character doesn’t have to be that extreme or exaggerated in regards to the trope.
