I would suggest at least a month before you get into editing if you feel like doing that.
Sometimes I leave a novel for a year or more to work on other things.
Anyway, much congratulations. Sooo happy for you and proud of you for sticking through it. You really came a long way. And I’m so, so happy you came back to share this journey with us
Congratulations! It really feels good to finally prove to yourself you can finish a novel when you complete that first draft. There’s still more to go, but completing that first big step is a huge milestone and shows you that you can do it. So proud of you!
Awesome possum! That’s two books you’ve finished, right? since I think you wrote one called House of Naivan or something a few years back. Are you looking forward to rereading it? I keep rereading mine, and coming up with silly reasons to do so. For instance, I’m thinking now I need to reread the book again and compare it to the timeline, adding what month it is next to the year so I’ll know how many months have passed in case I make one of the characters pregnant. ( -.-)\(^◡^ )
Anyway, congratz! You’ve done what a lot of people promise themselves they’ll do one day, but never ever get around to actually achieving. ٩(˘◡˘)۶
Thanks! I often forget about the House of Naivin because with Project Succession, I REALLY enjoyed this book more than I thought I would.
Yet with House of Naivin, when I finished it, it didn’t hit me hard enough like this one did. Mainly because I didn’t finish it and ended a bit early and wasn’t feeling it that much.
However, it was different writing Project Succession, very different.
