I don't like being hard on myself, yet I need to change things for good.

Here are the things I must let go, as CHALLENGING as it is:

This is a slow-ish process, but a process that needs to happen. Do not fight me on this!

  1. YOUTUBE HAS TO GO FOREVER!!! I rid myself of Pinterest which was NOT easy, but I did it. NOBODY SEND ME LINKS TO YOUTUBE ANYMORE EVEN IF IT IS HELPFUL VIDEOS!!! YouTube and AuDHD are a HORRIBLE mixture. I can’t do it anymore, I have to be hard on myself with that! I need to break free and focus on something else. I got to break habits! I don’t want it to be in moderation, just don’t want to go there at all!

  2. Multitasking as I write. If I want to listen to noise while I write, there is music to help. I should watch anime or shows, when I am freed from writing and other things.

  3. I need to do some more reading. Whether it is audiobooks or manga or even webcomics, I just need to read more.

  4. Got to turn my internet off more. This one is a challenge because I am a hardcore Google Docs user, and that uses the internet. There is an offline version, but I doubt it is that good.

  5. Pacing and doing other things while writing is fine, that is my way of taking breaks, since I don’t do writing sprints.

So, these are the things that I need to work on. I am lessening my subscribers on YouTube, not doing it cold turkey all though, I did that with Pinterest for the last time.

Thoughts and feelings?

I should do the same, but I have a terrible case of FOMO whenever I try that. I did delete all my social networks sometime back, but I wasn’t using them any more anyhow.

I’ll try to remember not to link you to anything on YT but you’ll have to forgive me if I forget, cause I visit there at least once a day. YouTube’s so useful to me for research and stuff, and getting motivated to write. (♯^.^ღ)

Good for you for trying to get a grip on your internet usage! Doomscrolling and whatnot is such a time sink, but personally I can’t help myself. (♯ᴖ.ლ)

The problem is finding things to replace what I am trying to get rid of with something else entirely.
There will always be days where I will get bored and revert back to old habits, I just need to have a little system to replace the old habits with something slightly new.

So, I am, trying to go easy on myself, yet in some ways I need to be hard on myself.

I have let go of some YouTubers that I am subscribed to, then kept a few for now.

I am not on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok for this reason, because I cannot fall down the rabbit hole again.

Anybody else?

Just curious, do you have notifications turned on for YouTube? Do you get updates on new videos from YouTubers? If you have that turned off, you’ll never know what’s going on and still get to have your YouTube homepage catered to you, so it’s not just random videos. I’m subscribed to over 100 channels, and I have notifications turned off, so I only check them out in my own time.

It’s personalized, so no.

I turned off the history and recommendations as well.

That’s good then.

Apart from Google Docs (and Wacky  ), what are the other essentials you need from your computer or the internet?

I think that is it.

Then all that’s left is your personal will power
