So, yeah, I have a total of 231 nations on my fictional planet. But honestly, I plan to use 32 nations in future stories. Though just the thought of using 32 feels like it’s not enough.
But I can’t see myself fleshing out 231 nations and yet my crazy ass wants to try. LOL!
I just want to know if there are fantasy novels that have so many nations similar to me.
What are your thoughts and feelings?

231 sounds like a lot! Either it’s a big planet, or those must be small countries.
I don’t bother fleshing things out until I need them. I’m too lazy! I listed the names of a half dozen countries back when my characters were on the Grand Tour traveling around the continent, but only to inform the reader that they were making multiple stops.
I only described a country when something important to the plot happened there, and that only happened in two countries. I’ve never said how many countries there are in all on this planet since that might limit me later and I have no idea yet just what’s going to happen in later books. For now everything’s taking place on a continent similar to Europe, although a mysterious “new world” is known to exist somewhere across the ocean. (♯^.^ღ)

Have you got a map made? Even if it’s just a scribble in your notes?
Also, you will have to worry about biomes and geography and such.
