It's about Project Succession again!

This zero draft should be in honesty the second draft. Though it’s the revamped draft zero instead. I left first draft thinking that I wouldn’t get to draft two. Now, I have changed so much with the plot in my mind, that I should get started on draft two. The story right now is going great but because I am starting with Project Succession again, I am better off going to draft two instead of doing what I’m doing now — which is the draft zero that lack sense. My only concern is that I was going about this all wrong in a way. I might have to stop the draft I’m on now to start coming up with a plot and ideas for draft two, since I’ve changed the story from what it was supposed to be.

I was inching towards 50k, but now I have to stop and try it again. I don’t mind starting it again because there’s no deadline other than my own — I’m not wasting time.

Though what I am writing in this zero draft of Project Succession is not going to be in the story with the exception of few things.

I’m not overreacting because this is something that I am just now realizing even as I write it.

Thoughts and feelings?

Hmmm…? (♯^.^ღ)

Why bother writing something that’s not going to appear in the finished story? Am I missing something? I must be missing something…

This zero draft is the “revamped” zero draft. With Project Succession I finished two drafts, zero and one though I never gotten to really start draft two.

Because I went back to Project Succession, I should’ve started draft two instead of the current thing I am doing now — which is a new draft zero.

I already know how I want the plot and story to go, I just should’ve done a second draft instead.

I finished the original drafts of Project Succession last year.

Only a few things are happening from the draft that I am working on that will be in the second draft. Just a few things, not everything.

I mean it doesn’t really matter what number draft you’re on as long as you’re progressing towards something you’re happy with.

I suppose so, but it always felt off starting all over again and not in the way I should have.

I can always finish up the draft that I am on now. Though my mind has something else in mind for the story.

im kinda weird so, i write whtever comes to mind, so writing a draft that might never be seen is kinda goofy to me unless its to give u ideas for a future seen

Honestly, I think for many of us with issues that get in the way, like my ADHD, we need a finished draft of something.

Because if we can finish 1 story, we can finish another.

But if we never finish a story, we’re stuck in limbo writing for life. drama wails

So, whatever you do, finish something–just for your sanity.

That was me with Red Reign. Something about that story bothers me when comes to the fact that I can’t finish it. I feel like every plot I came up with Red Reign and Project Succession wasn’t quite the right fit for it. I still want to find that proper plot for the story.

Those are the only two stories that have me feeling this way. Though there are other stories, yet those stories aren’t like Red Reign and Project Succession.

I keep changing the plot because with Project Succession — the titular Succession Trials was boring me and I didn’t want to write it. While with Red Reign, I hate writing something focusing on the “bigger picture” plot when I just can’t focus that way.

This story now is on a somewhat smaller scale though it could be a bigger picture given if I want to write that someday.

This novel is actually a revamped combination of Red Reign and Succession Trials only without the Succession Trials and bigger picture plot line.

Sorry for rambling.

I get it. I’ve got stories I’ll never finish.

I love Red Reign, but back then it was hard getting the right plot for the novel series.

I will never stop loving what Red Reign could be, because I know it could be something marvelous and what it should be.

Does that make sense?

Absolutely. Thing is that people’s first babies are often harder to “bring to market”, so your frustration with it is about on par for most people.

True, true.

I don’t think Red Reign or even Project Succession would do great how I envisioned in the past. Things are a bit different now. And I am thankful for that.
