Novel ideas from a dream

I have 4-5 ideas I would love to either finish/turn into a book and surely don’t have the time to do all of them in the near future.

My brain last night decides to throw me into an intense fantasy dream mixing Red Dead Redemption, Castlevania Lords of Shadows 1, Van Helsing (2004), Evil Within and Silent Hill into one insane video game-based world where I’m third person experiencing the protagonist origin and journey to vanquish the damned full anti-hero style. Like come on. This is not fairrrrrrrrrr giving me whole world building and plots in my sleep right now.

PLEASE TELL ME THIS HAPPENS TO YOU GUYS!

Are you asking if I dream up novel ideas sometimes?
If yes, then yeah I do that sometimes.

This happens to me all the time, but a day or two later I say to myself, This was the stupidest idea. What was I thinking?!

Most of my ideas come from dreams, so, happens all the time!

Sure. I get strange dreams that become stories–or I did more as a younger adult.

I had a dream that one of my novel characters went out of their way to look for me and persue me before I ate dinner :man_shrugging: lmao but he kept missing me.

I had a dream about a very difficult but very fun ps1 game in the style of Nightmare Creatures inspired by an American Werewolf in London.

I have created an entire series from a dream I had in seventh grade, you’re definitely not alone :joy: that series also borrowed many things from my imaginary universe that I had been developing since fourth grade, which itself also borrowed many things from dreams I’ve had.

My current writing project is based off a string of recurring daydreams, not quite the same but it happens ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Might I suggest tossing them into a Plot Soup:tm: and letting them stew until they meld into a singular story or two? :eyes:

Im afraid theyre all very different genres so probably wouldnt go together well

Genre-blending does exist.

This is a bit too much genre blending to make sense. A little too much contemporary small town romcom for the amount of fantasy horror I have in mind for the other stuff.
