You should write that. A little silly short short story where the planets have a little chit chat, meanwhile, people on Earth are freaking out.
Earth: look at them all, my little babies Mars: er…are they okay? Earth: oh they’re fine. just freaking out because we’re so close now. Nothing to worry about. So, how are the new little robots they sent you? Mars: hardly feel them. they gave them a good upgrade. the first one was so itchy!
Prompt 7: Secondary / supporting character. Tell me, why are they such good support for MC?
Raven girl, Wescherlie, from Lone Gold, Daring Purple is such a good support for MC Cypur because she has a positive outlook on life and always tries to bring Cypur up to her positive thinking. She’s able to bring out the best in him, and her openness allows him to be open with someone for the first time in his life. She really helped boost his confidence.
Without Wescherlie, Cypur would have gone on hating himself for a long time. A lot of good things he learns about himself are thanks to her
Lisselotte von Thornwood: She is a member of the Thornwood Dynasty and the cousin of Aeris from her mother’s side of the family. She cares about Aeris, genuinely and only wants to understand the cousin she never met. Lisselotte doesn’t care about claiming the throne yet cares about standing by the family she loves. She is willing to stand by Aeris’s side and help her take the throne and crown. Lisselotte is a good support because she is there to aid Aeris when things are tough and keep the future empress stable, mentally.
Lazarus: A mysterious ghost who came in contact with Aeris in the Surface world and is now closely connected. He’s the comedic relief and the voice of reason for Aeris. He is a good friend, but the guy is a mystery. Might play a serious role for the dynasty bit later. He knows of the Great Tirron Hunt and that speaks enough volumes.
Mal’gel: The family’s god with a secret who is serving Aeris and readying her to become the next empress of the nation. He is trying to get her ready to take the throne and crown. Although he is the family’s god, he is also a mystery and many members aren’t able to understand Mal’gel’s motives. Also, he helps her by trying to prepare her to become the next monarch.
Stephanie von Thornwood: The current Queen of Roshland and the grandmother to Aeris. She is the mother to Oristina and the great-aunt of Lisselotte. Stephanie cares deeply about Aeris, ever since the death of her daughter Oristina. She wants to help her family and see that her granddaughter takes the throne. She doesn’t like being the queen and doesn’t like seeing her family torn apart. Stephanie works as the glue trying to hold an already broken family together and make it so that Aeris rules the nation the way it’s meant to be.
I’ll go with one of my favorite support characters: Ruven.
Ruven is a good supporting character for my MC, Elya, because he’s light-hearted, unserious, and sort of an indulgent personality. Elya is all business. Go here, do this, no time for chat, no time for food, no time to wash your hair or clean your boots. Just go, go, go.
He’s a breath of fresh air when paired for her. A sit back, relax sort of character that reminds her that life is sometimes about the simple things, and the end is only as fun as the journey. Sometimes he can be a little too indulgent and carefree (which is where she balances him out), but overall he teaches her the powers of self-care.
Lisselotte sounds like a really nice person Why did they never meet before? And what was Lisselotte’s first impression of Aeris when they eventually did meet?
Aeris can see ghosts? Or is this something anyone can do? Does Lazarus know he’s dead or remember how he died? Does Aeris know about Lazarus’ past? And does Lisselotte know about Lazarus?
She lived in Roshland and Aeris lived in the Surface Realm, never knowing her family.
She just assumed Aeris was another Tirron, but the scent was giving her clues that Aeris is more than she appeared. Lisselotte was thrilled to meet her and save her from a weird situation.
All Tirrons, both pure and mixed blood can see ghosts, and a few Firstlings. Lazarus knows he’s dead and that he was assassinated. Lazarus has ties with the Thornwood Dynasty. Aeris doesn’t know who Lazarus is and thought he was just a strange ghost who became a friend, but he is much more than that.
A reveal tells Lazarus much more than a ghost.
Aeris is a hybrid child, born of Thornwood (her mother’s side) and Kriegman (her father’s side).
Prompt 8: Someone who is always trying to be funny, silly, or is the jokester character.
Paws Chase Murder Case
It’s a tie between Ginger and Mason.
Ginger is a lion-human Hybrid girl who is really smart but also quite loose around the edges. She always tries to lighten the mood up and make jokes.
Mason is a leopard-human Hybrid and he’s MC Scotch’s best friend since childhood. Like Ginger, he also goes around making jokes and trying to have a good time. He always seems to find something to laugh about, no matter the seriousness of the situation (except for a few times) and tries to rope everyone else into it whether they want to be in on it or not
There’s a reason I don’t talk about those guys. They’re not very supportive
That would absolutely be Jay (Fae Prince, abdicated throne, became a well-known name in the Human-Fae War, was ultimately killed by Hunters but was revived and immortalized by Amneris and now is one of her Advisors).
He tends to deal with serious situations by making light of them and has what people see as a “care-free” attitude. He also isn’t above saying what he really thinks about someone, even his boss so they butt heads a lot He’s really good at cheering people up because of his ability to joke in bad situations but he doesn’t quite get that there are times when one shouldn’t joke about things, even if it is with a good intention. Even in the middle of a fight, he’ll be making jokes. Dude could be fighting for his life or lack thereof and will still pause in the middle to say something
