Polls For Fun

No, not right now. I used to go by a pen name, then changed the pen name to one that fit my culture, and now I just go by my given name.
The most intereting part is that this process really helped me build my own identity and make me my own person. It just made me more comfortable with my culture and my life, which had, until that point, been something I was sort of embarrased about.

If it’s a floppy paperback that doesn’t have that weird shorter front cover than I’m all for paperbacks. Although I prefer to have hardbacks for most genres and books that are long.

So, it is hardbacks.

Why the hell did I put hardcover? LOL!

Can you even imagine writing or reading a novel with 800+ chapters and with a word count of 3k to 5k?
(Just wondering)

  • No, I could never write or read something that long.
  • Yes, it sounds like a challenge, but a rather fun challenge.
  • Qualeshia, who in their right mind would do that? Is this real?
  • Let me think about it and I’ll get back to you.
  • If the story is amazing, I guess I would.
  • Other (explain in the comments).

It depends on how well talked about it is, and by whom. If it wins any major literary prizes, and everyone I respect is reading it or plans to and it has lots of positive buzz, then sure, I’ll read it. I’m a masochist. ヽ(ļ¾ŸŠ”ļ¾Ÿ)ノ

So, you would write something of that length?
Wowzers!

Sure! If I could think up a plot that would require that kind of length, I’d have no hesitation. But the longest book I’ve ever read was War & Peace, and that was only 300+ chapters, each chapter about 1500 words, and I can’t imagine writing anything as long as W&P right now. My stories just aren’t that complicated at the moment. ĀÆ\_(ļ¢)_/ĀÆ

Because you mentioned that I am wondering if Tales of Alterra will be that long.
As much as I love the story, my fingers and body will hate me forever. LOL!

Anybody play/do the wordle game?

  • Yes
  • No

I don’t do it daily, but once in awhile I’ll check it out for fun.

In case you don’t know what it is, it’s basically a word game where you try and guess a five letter word in six tries. When you guess one words, it’ll tell you if you got a letter right (& if it’s the right place or wrong place).

Nah.

is the word count per chapter 3-5k?

I would prefer it be broken into different books. That would make it more digestible.

Well, my friends and I have an oral version of this game we like to play.
