For many years I have wanted to keep fish… To build an aquarium of a community of differing types…
I wrote of this a few years ago in a chapter of The Endurlon “The Forgotten King”. Upon being took to her fate upon the council of Khamdis Gammok, Riona did witness a wide basin which was refreshed with clear waters that ran over the lip into unknown depths. Within that basin of clear waters swam a Blindfish, it radiated with many colours, but for the most part it was silver shining… Only found deep within the underworld lakes and streams it became a firm favourite of Khamdis, and symbol of his new found kingdom… It now adorns much of his banners and armouring…
Then afterwards, I took it upon myself to actually keep fish. In true form to Khamdis, I looked to cold water fish. This was two years ago, and as such I now own three tanks of various species.
I have a 65ltr (17 US Gallons) with White Cloud Mountain Minnows, a 110ltr (27US Gallons) with Pearlscale Goldfish, and a 240ltr (60 US Gallons) which is a community tank with Various Barbs, Platies, Danio’s and Borneo Suckerfish…
Keeps me happy when I’m a little low and is fantastic for mental health… When things get bad for me I just drift away in their floaty comfort…
Yes, there is a lot of research to do before going into such hobbies, and much work keeping the fish happy and healthy too… But it is so damn worth it…
