So, I got answers to my slowly healing pain/soreness and fatigue.

The last week of January and the rest of February, I’ve dealt with serious severe nerve pain in my hands, shoulders, and wrists. I went to the hospital because the pain was so bad on February 10th to learn it was a pinched nerve. Though the pain lingered and I was told to take ibuprofen to help which didn’t help. The pain is slowly fading (the key word is slowly) into plain soreness that is making me super exhausted. I eventually went to my primary doctor to learn that I am deficient of b12. So, I was given medication to help the soreness and tingling sensation along with the vitamins for b12.

Now, I know that I should be taking it easy, but I’ll go stir-crazy if I do.

Still, I’m trying my best to take it easy while I wait for my medication to come later today.

So, for now, I’m dealing with serious soreness and fatigue.

I don’t know if anyone has ever dealt with B12 deficiency, but if you have are you willing to share your experience with me.

As someone taking vitamins regularly as well, Vitamin D due to taking Setraline, get the gummy ones. Please, the big golden ones are awful.

Take gummy vitamins? Depends on what my doctor prescribed to me.

If you can get them, then do. I’ve taken a lot of medications in my time and a lot of pills taste awful.

Same. I’ve taken some awful tasting pills too. Though it doesn’t bother me that much.

aw man I’ve heard b12 defeciency is the pits. I hope the vitamins kick in fast!

idk if you can/want to drink them but some energy drinks have a bunch of b12 in them so uh, maybe you can supplement extra? lol

I take vitamin B complex

and this one:

You can get something like that online. It’s been helping me a lot. I’ve felt less tired since I’ve taken those. These are my main supplements.

I’ve never been checked for vitamin B deficiency but I suspect I might have been low because I’ve felt better since I’ve taken it and less tired.

It suppresses my murderous intent.

hey it’s not my fault my brain friendly-fires :joy:

but sertraline/zoloft is usually the first option when you try ssris because it’s well-tolerated and non-addictive so most people who have been on / are on an ssri have been on setraline.

I’ve had both B-12 and iron deficiency. I’m still fighting the battle with fatigue while still trying to figure out what’s normal aging. When I was a kid, I was a picky eater/didn’t eat a lot so my mom used to buy this Dominican B-vitamin vitamin syrup and that stuff made me HUNGRY as hell haha it worked. It made me eat.

I would also take iron when I needed it. Especially when you’re on your period and losing blood, take iron supplements even if it’s just for that point in time. Keep in mind certain vitamins and meds cancel each other out. That tripped me up for a while. Vitamin C for example negates a lot of other things.

I agree on the vitamin D-3, take that if you’re not already on a multi-vitamin. I hate swallowing giant horse pills, like I am just not capable. I’ve tried gummies but I hate the “stuck in my teeth” feeling and the added sugar. So I ended up getting these “Women’s Petite” Centrum vitamins and you have to take 2 every morning, but I still bite them in half.

Vitamins are usually more effective with food.

Check your blood pressure. I have naturally low blood pressure. I get dizzy sometimes and/or really hangry. My doctor actually recommended more salt for me.

Also, mental-wise, write a list of the things that physically/mentally drain you. Treat yourself like a video game character with an HP bar. Some things make you happy and help you recover, but still require energy. I feel like once I had a handle on that, it was a bit easier to “plan how to use my spoons” so I don’t over do it. Good luck! :crossed_fingers:
