Well, I just finished off an order, so now I get to start making a new product! But, I am really behind on writing… so I should probably do a little of that.
Ah! Ok. Great.
So not medieval armour… ![]()
I have a story idea that might scare people

Patreon now has quips because it wants to be like IG or TikTok with short-form instant content I guess
I sent you something in your thread.
Check it out when you can.
The definition of pop music is to be simple and catchy enough to be instantly recognizable no matter where you are.

It’s a lot answering questions and remembering people’s world building details, so I’m doing them little by little
Hungry
Same
Artfight now explicitly disallows photobashing, tracing over photographs (including your own), and tracing over 3d models (including your own), calling those techniques “unfair”. Worse yet for them, how do they expect to even enforce these rules if nobody is willing to share their reference material under threat of a ban?
Have you seen this one?
It seems like maybe they didn’t write the rules right or something, idk
Could be them being weird, or everyone’s miscommunicating
It’s hard to tell
Yup. It’s why I bowed out this year. I don’t use references often, and when I do, I make my own 3D renders… and these new rules say you cannot even REDLINE your own 3D models, afaik. Absolutely ridiculous
Sometimes it is better to say nothing at all than to speak and risk confusing people. Another controversy like this could make everyone drop artfight.
I imagine these were initially created in order to combat AI images taking over but it spiraled into rules that nobody wanted to follow and nobody could enforce.
That sounds about right to me, you’re probably on to something.
It’s not like ANYONE is ever going to look at a finished piece and say “aha! I noticed you used Blender to create your own model for this pose!” or “Ohhhh, that hand is a bit too close to your IRL hands, we know you took a photograph of them!”. Even speedpaints can be faked, so we once again fall into the issue of genuine artists bowing out because they refuse to break a rule when a genuine art process if part of their workflow, and those who were going to be lazy about it and take shortcuts with AI/tracing art will ignore the rule anyway.
