TOTALLY get that. That feeling absolutely sucks

Have you treated yourself to anything yet? Seems like you deserve a brownie :eyes:

AI has so thoroughly destroyed online writing culture that I almost cry whenever I see oldschool moodboards and face claims.

I have a book about music, with each entry about a different recording.

At the end of each entry, there are suggestions for further listening.

Twice, the author brought up an album by a band that has released three albums.

The thing is, the band’s albums are all self-titled (albeit differentiated by release order and their covers’ color schemes), and the author doesn’t indicate which one he’s talking about.

I did make a guess (which I feel is educated), but I’m not sure and the author not specifying doesn’t help.

There’s also an inconsistency that bothers me a little, since the author has an entry for an album that is one of four self-titled albums by a different artist (the musician’s first four albums are all named after him, but they’re differentiated and known by unofficial names, like with the band’s albums), and he gives the title a number in his entry for it.

Admittedly, I’m willing to cut him a little more slack on the inconsistency since there was an entry for the solo artist and not one for the band, but it’s noticeable, and not concretely knowing which one of the band’s albums he’s referring to is annoying.

Back in the ‘80s, a lot of songs had saxophone solos.

I’m sure this is something people rank all the time.

I don’t rank things, but I’ve listened to a lot of ‘80s music, and I can pinpoint two absolutely wonderful solos that I feel add to the songs overall:

“Who Can It Be Now?” Men at Work (saxophonist: Greg Ham)

&

“Don’t Answer Me” The Alan Parsons Project (saxophonist: Mel Collins)
