I’ve just noticed that I’ve developed this quirky habit of taking off my glasses whenever I need to listen more carefully. It’s a mystery to me why I do it, but it’s become a regular thing. This one dude even raised an eyebrow at me when he saw me do it. I just shrugged it off because, honestly, I’m as baffled by it as he is
What sucks ass is that I thought about what to add in my novel’s first chapter and it was so good. The problem is that it happened while I was sleeping last night.
I wasn’t about to leave my comfy bed to jot down notes for the first chapter. It’s terrible because I can’t remember how I wanted the rest of the chapter to go and it was soo good how I thought about it.
I’m mad because that shit always happens to me!
When I am not writing, I think of ways to continue the chapter and it sounds SO DAMN GOOD in my head…at least to me.
That happened to me before too, so I bought a digital voice recorder to keep on the nightstand. Press one button and it records. Do you have a recorder in your phone maybe? I also keep a notepad and pens that write upside down on the nightstand; you could try that too. ( -.-)\(^◡^ )
Okay, I had never heard of the three artists you mentioned, but I looked them up and I can see the relation. There’s something about this kind of music that draws me in, and I don’t really know why, but I find that it gives you a sense of calm and tranquility.
Imagine this: these songs serving as the backdrop for a fantasy novel that’s a blend of ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Snow Queen and the Huntsman’, with a dash of Astrid’s character. Picture a protagonist who embodies the fierceness of Daenerys and the resilience of Astrid. Sounds like an epic tale waiting to be written!!!
For some reason, I feel that the characters of Astrid and Daenerys would be a perfect fit for the main female character in a story, lol.
Anyways, I’m definitely adding this to my folk music playlist.
I just finished rewatching ‘Kaichou wa Maid-sama’. Gosh, I’ve missed this anime. It’s my favourite romance anime, followed by ‘Hotarubi no Mori e’. It was totally worth it and I fell for Usui once more
Now lemme go back and watch the updated ep of The Kingdom of Ruin. Bye y’all!!!
Has anyone read a cookbook lately? It seems to be more memoir than recipes. I was leafing through one today which had anecdotes of the author’s childhood interspersed with beautiful pictures of landscapes and even an essay on climate change but when I opened a recipe I was shocked.
The ultimate crab sandwich: mix crab meat with mayonnaise and chopped dill, spread between two slices of rustic bread, salt, enjoy. And you really need the good stuff—white crab from Cornwall. Like excuse ma’am this is a cookbook? Sandwiches and negronis won’t cut it even if the ingredients are restaurant quality.
But also I kinda love it. I can imagine myself on a Saturday morning sitting in the kitchen with a coffee reading a bit of memoir from the book and then following a good breakfast recipe. The vibes.
