Thinking about characters I could develop or use for a hypothetical DnD campaign, I’d really love to join one sometime
Spent a lot of time reading about classes, potential races, etc

Having fun, Ena?
LOL!
I’ve been working on roping in people for a dragonball ttrpg lately. I’d love to join yours, I just need some information on the setting and such.
It’s something I discovered YEARS ago and always like to share it
Well, considering the movies he plays in I’m surprised that there’s no movie titled Going Postal or something along those lines.
lol, there should be! XD
Dragon Ball ttrpg? Sounds like a fun time ^.^
I haven’t joined a campaign yet, but if I find one I could let you know too
The best parts were when people made other dragonball characters with this template. Even Bra.
Juan and Igor are such a random pairing, but it somehow works.
It’s kinda like the “odd couple” trope in TV.
I love the Odd Couple, though! They hate each other until they love each other, in every episode. Whenever Oscar and Felix join forces against a common foe, it’s wondiferous. *nod nod*
Didn’t see the show, but I watched the movie, and back in high school, a classmate and I did a scene from it for our final (I played Oscar).
It’s weird, they connect for a moment, then Igor and Juan are polar opposites, then they go back to connecting. It is wondiferious
That’s a classic.
Yes it is
I am well cultured, and I know these things.
Elephants!
I’ve been doing so much hand writing and sitting at my desk that I am just exhausted.
I want my bed, but I need to stand.
This could be an interesting experiment. I haven’t watched the full video yet, but it looks like a decent measure of where technology is at the moment (for language-based AI software anyway).
…Times are a changing…
I have been brain-storming story ideas and character dialogues with the free Claude-3 (Haiku) and it’s often proven better than GPT-3.5.* Still far too censored though. Reports indicate the subscription Claude-3 (Opus) is better or equal to GPT-4, and Claude-3 Opus is far better at language tasks…Temptation to experiment with the subscription model grows…
Me:
If I wanted to create a female teenage (14) Israeli character, for a story set in 2016, who has a personality similar to Auska from Neon Genesis Evangelion, and similar to Triela from Gunslinger Girl, which character traits should I emphasis in regards to my character’s personality and her interactions with other characters?
C3:
To create a compelling 14-year-old Israeli female character who has personality traits similar to Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion and Triela from Gunslinger Girl, I would emphasize the following key character traits and how they manifest in your story:
Fierce independence and self-reliance:
Competitive nature and drive for excellence:
Emotional complexity and fragility:
Blunt, confrontational communication style:
Protective instincts and loyalty:
By emphasizing these personality traits and how they manifest in your character’s relationships, interactions, and internal struggles, you can create a compelling, multi-faceted teenage Israeli protagonist who resonates with readers familiar with Asuka and Triela.
Me:
Can you suggest how I should design and represent my character’s wit and humor, especially when she is playfully teasing and complementing others?
Would Auska’s humor be adequate for a believable Israeli character, and would a more confronting mature humor be acceptable for my character (as a ‘typical’ Israeli)?
C-3:
Great question! When it comes to designing the wit and humor of your 14-year-old Israeli character, I think drawing from Asuka’s style could work well, but you may also want to explore a slightly more mature and confrontational approach that may be more reflective of Israeli cultural norms.
For the Asuka-esque elements, you could emphasize:
However, to make the humor feel more authentically Israeli, you could also incorporate:
The key is finding that balance where the humor still has bite and edge, but it’s coming from a place of comfort, familiarity, and even affection rather than pure malice. The characters may tease and challenge each other relentlessly, but there’s an underlying respect and care.
You could also play with how this humor manifests differently depending on the relationship. With close friends, it might be more unrestrained and confrontational. With authority figures or strangers, it may be more shielded and defensive.
Ultimately, the goal is to craft a voice and sense of humor that feels distinctly “Israeli” in its directness, intensity, and willingness to push boundaries, while still allowing the character’s core vulnerabilities and humanity to shine through.
…Not too bad. I almost pity Dov for what he’s about to experience, again…
Oh, a while ago the Groq AI software was made open source (free to download for personal use), but the LLM files are > 200GB. Probably needs a 24GB Graphics Card to run as well. I wonder if a future Claude variant can predict Lotto numbers.
Update: And this video came out a few minutes after my post…
My mom is going to see a one-man performance of Hamlet tomorrow. How such a thing can exist is beyound me.
