This month has to be the most stressful month in a long-ish while. So, much so that my body is physically stressed, my menstrual cycle is horrible, and I am more exhausted than I was last month.
I am going to relax a bit to focus on something less chaotic, while I take a little breather.

Iāve been job hunting and should really fill out an application today, but I donāt feel like it (I also have a headache which is making the situation all the more disagreeable). I put off doing it yesterday as well.

Iām wondering how to integrate my protagonistās love of music into the story without it feeling hamfisted, which I feel it is coming off as.
The story doesnāt have anything to do with music, aside from her references (which Iām questioning) and the title of the story also being the title of an album by a band who made the protagonistās favorite song (btw, the song isnāt on that album). Maybe I should just avoid that, but I like the title I got for it, as it has more than one meaning (itās an album title and it accurately describes the protagonistās feelings towards her bisexuality).

Can you write your own lyrics? Sometimes I add poetry to a book, making one of the characters a poet. You could add song lyrics that illustrate how the character is feeling in that moment or how the situation inspires her to write something, or whateverā¦? (*ļ¼¾-ā) ä¹

With all due respect, I donāt feel itās applicable in the manner you meant it, since the protagonist isnāt a musician and doesnāt intend to be.
I apologize if this seems rude, and I really do appreciate your advice, but I donāt know how compatible it is with the story Iām writing.
