I found out today: Actors can be affected by the characters they played even after the film ends. Little habits, little ways of thinking, certain prejudices, ways of dealing with certain situationsā¦these can affect them. They might say something and realize that was not them, but the character speaking. Some actors might actually experience the trauma that the character was going through in the movie (emotional, usually).
What is that called, I wonder? Phantom trauma?

Browsing through the Twitter / X Milton hurricane feed. Some optimistic chap tied his house down with ratchet straps. The floodwaters are predicted to reach between nine and fifteen feet. Quick reminder, one cubic meter of water weighs one-tonneā¦then you add in tidal surges, currents, debris, wavesā¦Best of luck the the strapped-up abode.

I saw pictures of that strapped down house! But not on Twitter; maybe in Huffpost. I wonder if it made it through the stormā¦? One of the two feral cats that lived in our yard was killed in the hurricane so weāre grieving today, but otherwise Milton was relatively harmless to us in north Florida. Helene was worse since it put out our electricity and internet service for several days. I just hope our luck lasts the rest of the season. * crosses fingers *

Hereās my current thoughts: When youāre an employee, customers can treat you like shit. But if you say or do anything about it, youāre the one who gets into trouble while they get to go on and continue being terrible. It really sucks
