That’s an interesting article, really puts things in perspective for me at least.
Now, I am questioning things.

Oooh, thanks! I don’t think I’ve seen this before. While I do agree with it, there are certain books like Yellowface where absolutely every character is horrible and irredeemable, and I pretty much hated that book because there was no character I could get invested in. ¯\_(ﭢ)_/¯
Yes, I do want to see a dancing egg! Funny, I was just thinking to myself the other day that I haven’t seen a dancing egg lately, or even…like, ever. My gosh, where am I going to find one? I wondered. And here you are! (>‿◠)
I just finished writing one of my Cattails: Wildwood Story fanfics…and made myself cry-
Might end up viewing six apartments today…
Damn!
Glad I decided to go with an apartment where I live now, just for one bedroom.
There’s another apartment in a town close to where I live, that is on the back burner as a second option.
Whew!

Apartment hunting is hard and exhausting.
I never been on this side of this process alone.
Damn…
Hmm I saw it pop up on my Spotify
I got this feeling he described from a book called Where the Mountain Meets the Moon and ancient mythology.
When it comes to Alagossia, there are races that live longer than your standard human beings then some that are just plain immortal.
Gaians are just magical human beings with a bit longer lifespans than an average human.
Other races live for over centuries, over a millennia or just forever.
I need to really grasp what means to live forever or close enough to it is like in some Alagossian story, while realizing some races still are greeted with death, while others take longer to greet it.
Not sure I make sense, @JojoDahlia @NotARussianBot @Akje.
Think about life on a geological timescale. One’s patience is superhuman.
I have to think about it in an Earth’s geological state.
When dinosaurs roamed the Earth from their birth to their death, on Alagossia that would be the time the gods ruled the world.
The birth of humanity and the rise of human civilization, will be Alagossia’s way of breeding different races, along with the rise of the Lesser being’s own civilization.
Honestly, time on Alagossia is the major issue, I can’t decide to make it slower or longer than Earth, considering the planet is so advanced.
This. I am so unsure about how to tackle time on Alagossia, when I made it so vague in a way.
I just don’t want to solely worldbuild, I need a novel series where I can worldbuild with the plot/story/characters.
Sorry for rambling.
Knowing chronology and what certain characters have seen and experience helps. But massive timescales, such as 11 Billion, can be hard to comprehend if you only live for 110 years.
Okay I’m 100 pages in to Wolf Hall. And I wholly agree this is one of the greatest novels of the 21st century. Dame Hilary Mantel gagged it, tore and slayed mawma yes gawd. I already can’t wait to read the sequel like omg
Yeah, that is a conundrum.
