I am already on draft 3 for Project Succession’s book 1. And I need to know when I should start book 2. Because I genuinely don’t know when.
Does it not matter whenever I decide to do it? Should I do it when I am done with the drafts for book one?
What are your thoughts? Because this is my first time taking this story so seriously that I don’t know what I want to do with it other than make new drafts.
I am still figuring out book 1, but I am really wanting to start book 2 because I have a bit of knowledge about how the story should go.
What are your thoughts on tackling this? How will you tackle this, personally?
There’s no reason why you can’t write book two while you continue working on book one. And you may need to change certain things in book one depending on what you write in book two.
You could write a note to yourself somewhere to revisit when you’re ready to write book 2. You might end up using what you wrote, or decide to throw it out the window.
In any case, you’ll feel better after writing it down because then it won’t bug you.
You could even have different ideas for book 2 and want to write them down. You could have a list of ideas going for book 2 and go through them when you’re ready, or, ignore them. But at least you wrote them down
