Ha. You reminded me of that time I’ve dived into research of Old English curse words.
My favorite is sard, which was the equivalent of the f-bomb.
I bet sodding is related.
I just found out that in 1997 10 people dragged a Land Rover to the top of the 5K tall mountain (now you know it too. Obviously, some people have too much time on their hands). But what upsets me is that darn mountain erupted in 50 AD creating annoying difficulties for me with its recent lava flows. Also, who would have thought it’s so popular and easy to climb a darn mountain? It’s like endless, endless flow of people that also makes my plot difficult. Crazy mountain climbers. Stay the heck off my very plot-important mountain!!!
Haha

alcoves in caves?
I had to Google specifically what considered an alcove before, so I get it
I just think of alcoves in houses, really.
I looked up info on Caroline Mathilda because of some woodprinting of a doctor who consorted with Denmark’s queen.
Mothman is from West Virginia, I thought everyone knew that.
Yeah I knew about.alcoves in houses
Look, people don’t know their cryptids unless they are into that. Former ATS member, so I’m used to plain crazy stuff.
I used to live in WV, so it’s common knowledge to me, and now I live in NJ.
Charybdis (in google images)
Me sitting here like why do I know that name. I Google and remembered why, haha
The whirlpool monster. Some depict it as only a mouth, others are more worm like. I saw a jellyfish one too, so I guess no one really knows what it looks like
Where’s James Cameron when we need him haha

I just had to research some cults for my book
Idk if that is considered strange or not
