I ran into the term ‘nestles’ one time, a long, long time ago, in an English version of Alexandre Dumas’ The Three Musketeers. In that incarnation of the story Queen Anne gave the Duke of Buckingham some jewelry, called ‘nestles’. The word always stayed with me, because I never figured out what they were.

It could simple be a case of bad translation, I dunno’…

I decided to make them a kind of ‘hair clips’ for now, I’m pretty sure Queen Anne of France must have had some :slight_smile: As they are supposed to have magical properties (to protect the wearer) I wanted to know how she (and the Dukes of Buckingham) died. I think with this I’ve incorporated enough real (?) world elements into the story, time to go all out again :slight_smile:

Sometimes facts are stranger than fiction… The title Duke (of) Buckingham does not refer to an actual place, it’s just a title, and it was used for, for example, the 15th century ambassador from England to France. It has been reinstated twice. During the 15th century the elder Duke got shot by an officer who felt slighted by some remarks, and his son died from hypothermia after trying to dig up a fox he was hunting.

Prone burials are a huge thing I’ve researched into (and it’s super interesting tbh) alongside werewolves and the basic history on how society viewed them, and also what they represent (the animistic and sinful desires of humans, if anyone was wondering) along with different folklore, different beliefs in werewolves, how they came to be representors of animalistic natures, art that features them, etc.

  • The time it takes to go to different places via diff types of transport
  • Hookah cafes and diff hookah flavors
  • Curse words in many languages
  • blue waffle
  • how strong of a bite to crush bone
  • How to rob a bank (well, I didn’t actually use this but…:eyes: )

It was all jormal until blue waffle :joy: gosh that takes me back to like 7th grade when I first heard of it, haha. And who is crushing bone :eyes: or blowing up a human? Ways to seduce and kill is always fun, and come on, you know the bank heist thing was for your own knowledge :wink: you just slipped in it the search, so when the cops come knocking you can say it’s for a book :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.
