Good villains have to be close enough to ourselves to scare us a little. Our visceral reactions are usually reserved for those that we could have been without that one major twist that makes us different.
Faust (my MC) wants to go on an epic adventure? Fine! I shall give my little Faust an adventure that he’ll never forget!
Fausty, WE ARE GOING ON AN ADVENTURE!!!
Fausty is going to be a female and there are a few other changes.
That’s it no more changes for this. Just a sweet and epic adventure full of action.
The prose of Overlord makes me feel better for never focusing on making my prose pretty. Maybe it’s just the translation, but the last thing you will be impressed by in Overlord is the prose.
I’m more in a writing mood again.
Fausta is a cool name
I have already chosen a name for her.
It’s Faustina instead. Sorry.
Faustina sounds fancier, that’s cool too
Thank you very much.

I’m making fairly decent progress on chapter 4 with 5k words written. I think a part of this has to do with the fact that I ditched planning the story, which I did when figuring out the first three chapters, since I feel like it allows me to more organically write the story and makes writing a bit more exciting. I mostly just focused on developing my MC’s relationship with his love interest by examining some of my MC’s insecurities as a result of him having social anxiety and further showing the maturation of my MC’s younger sister into a survivalist. At this pace, I should be done with the chapter by the end of the week, which is extremely fast for me, though I do expect some road bumps.
Yay, Mozalev made it to Tallinn, for his competition, so now I can write without worrying about it.
But, like, reading first!
I’m starting to get a bunch of possible ideas for ONC now… it’s making it hard to return to writing my current WIP tbh, only managed about 400 words in the last 5-6 days. But, it’s also kind of exciting. I think I’m getting more and more set on actually doing ONC this year ahaha.
That’s great! Hope it gives you a little jolt and then you can go back to your WIP
And… apparently, my artistic soul required the umpteenth rewrite of chapter 1 of the Lone Werewolf. I deleted a whole bunch of descriptions from it… hopefully the flow is better, simpler now.
nye yunonoy, tak avosyem??
also mood abt the rewriting thing.
when you think it will be easy to complete your editing project on time but in the last hundred pages you decide to delete a bunch content and replace it with completely new work

It’s cheesy but it might be something that I need to hear and understand.
And here is something that I wrote and something that I would need to believe.
Become the writer that you want to be.
Write a story that you would enjoy reading.
Enjoy yourself and always remember to have fun as you write.
There will always be haters who will bring you down.
Never let anyone bring you down, not even yourself.
There is a hidden talent within you, and you know it.
Believe and you shall achieve great things with writing.
Someday you will become someone’s favorite author, famous or not.
Good luck and happy writing!
So, cheesy, but whatever. LOL!
Look, whatever works.
Just coming up with support banners for Mozalev. That was the one when I found out he is going to compete after all.
His very first short program internationally was from the rock-opera “Juno and Avos’” which are the names of the two ships that Russian adventurer, Count Rezanov, the protagonist (and, obviously, Mozalev) took to sail to the Americas in the middle of his mid-life crisis, 19th century way. Mozalev was, like, 16 at the time, so it was adorkable. He continued portraying middle-aged, conflicted men with DeSade’s themed program and this year, Columbus (or his son, I am not sure). He is 18 now, so it is so painstakingly young, it warms my heart.
Avos’ is a Russian expression that hits somewhere between Maybe? and Hail-mary…
Anyway, there is another Russian expression, “if not by washing, then by rubbing”… meaning we’ll get it, no matter how.
So, combining the whole thing, given that Mozalev did get to go to Europeans on 3-day notice, with his bronze, despite being bypassed for the #4 guy initially, as the first substitute for the #2 guy… lol. Figure skating this year is an endless drama because of Olympics and pandemic.
Anyway, he’s made it. Now he just have to skate the lights out! He’s skating 33 out of 34 men tomorrow, so has about 6 hours to fall to pieces.
Good afternoon everyone.
nods Afternoon.
How goes it?
