I hope so. Also you are very much an insider here!

I must’ve summoned you with my mind because I was just thinking earlier, Domi’s edited a few of her novels, how the heck did she stick to it? You gave me my answer. I’m a little worried about letting it sit for too long, and then I lose “the feel” of the characters? But maybe that’s what’s necessary to edit. I also don’t want it to end up in my “things I wanna do someday and never do” bucket. I’m trying not to stress it too much though, and get into writing something new. :crossed_fingers:

I edited a chapter of Debts to Dead Men. I consider that a small victory. :muscle:

Yeah, that won’t work on me. Too much alcohol gives me the giggles, and then eventually I fall asleep.

i normally go to bed at 3pm but today i took nighttime sinus medication for a headache and slept until 2:40 so…

bleh i feel discombobulated. i’m trying to write but i can’t get motivated.

if i finish Gallows Humour by December 31st then I can start the new year working on Magpie Black and hopefully be done by April, in time to pull out this year’s unfinished nano project for camp nano and see where another month of speed writing gets me. I’m also going to get in touch with the sensitivity reader for aac. I told them they could take their time with it and i meant it, i know they have a ton on their plate and i’m super grateful they agreed to sensitivity read at all. it’s just starting to be reminiscent of every other beta reader for this project who started and then dropped off the face of the earth. next time i get a book to that stage i think i’m going to sacrafice some niceness points and be super strict about deadlines and communciation and shit. you get 2 months and you have give me an update every week or sth like that. i might just ‘hire’ people so i don’t feel bad about being pushy. like i don’t want to be mean but come on, man, i can’t leave projects in limbo forever.

hm, well, that was a ramble but i feel better-ish. ish.

Really? Maybe it’s me, but 3pm is real early to go to sleep.
I never thought that people went to sleep at that time.

Sorry if that sounds rude. That wasn’t my intention really.

I always let it sit. For me, there are always periods when I am too tired to write or I am between books or working on outlines, that I can do editing.

That’s said, I skipped editing this morning because I was finishing up a review. But, like, no excuses starting tomorrow!

My god, I don’t even know what this should even be about.
I don’t want to go back to the original plan (whatever that is). Geez, what do I want this to even be about, seriously!

Give me a sign, creative writing gods!

I need names for twin males of Middle Eastern or South Asian origins that do not start with letters S, V or M.

Wait, a minute. I just finally realized something, so hear me out!

People who self-publish their novels still get editors to editor their books, right?

Yup! You just have to pay them yourself instead of the publishing house paying them. But there are editors everywhere. Reedsy’s a good place to start.
