Thanks
I was using the free then I went with the Premium at one point.
Ah, I know the struggle. It bothers me more when the word is totally made-up and the document is like “honey, there is no such word” and I have to ignore it with a “yes the hell it is, in my world”. LOL!
Chapter one is an introduction chapter on who Anjan is and what his life is like with his family or his siblings now.
Sanev thinks he can cook even with the “lessons” he is taking to get better in the hopes of becoming a chef. So, he thought he could cook food for him and his siblings, but fails.
Tessalyn works at an office of her father either with him or just working there in general.
Anjan spends his day in Tessalyn’s penthouse alone on the floor in silence. He doesn’t do much other than stare out the window. He used to do this when living his mother when he was younger.
I have a story idea that I am ITCHING to write, but I dunno how good it will be, should I just bite the bullet and go for it? @J.L.O @Qualeshia12 @NotARussianBot @TheTigerWriter This one isn’t like my other stories, and it’s a different genre.
Trying new things is good for growth
What is the genre? You should go for it. If you are serious about it then do it.
Maybe I will try it.
Teenfic but no romance, and I guess it’s more drama and not really set inside school either.
Ah. So, focusing on family, friendship, and the life of a teenager dealing with their own drama and whatnot?
Kinda, but they go on an adventure when the MC finds out about his Mom’s secret.
That sounds like fun and give it a shot.
I am trying to figure out how to start it lol.
Are you going to do some plotting and pansting to get a feel for it?
I did a bit of plotting (well more research) but I think the first chapoter needs pansted or something. I need 22k to finish NaNo and I am gonna see how far into this I get, I guess. I have an idea for the characters, kinda.
Yes!
@Churro How you start: Try starting with dialogue on the day that MC finds out about the Mom’s secret. Start on the day that leads up to MC finding out about it.
Is it a modern setting?
I don’t know how it will work out because the story kinda needs a build up. I dunno maybe I need a letter or something and yeah it’s a modern setting.
At some point I am going to need a serious outline and to take notes for this novel. I just hope it’s way before I reach the final drafting process.
I am still on the first and I ALWAYS forget that in my fictional worlds, there is a magic system and the crazy thing is that I can’t seem to figure out how to show a character using their magical powers on a daily basis or for combat purposes along with the technology that coexist with the magic in the story.
I have a magic system and advanced tech, but I continue to forget that. I mean the worldbuilding is fair in a way. Yet I keep forgetting to mention the magic and tech.
I understand that I am in the first draft and there is time to add that in the next chapters and in the new drafts, but I worry that I will forget that.
I don’t understand that. Gosh, when I am in the zone, somethings clearly don’t matter, especially if it’s important.
I have to remember that for next time and all the time.
EDIT: I also need to understand who and what my characters are a fictional people and to the plot. So, I really need to outline soon.
Letter, phone call, knock on door… Or maybe someone throws a rock through the window and it has a letter on it?
Change of plans. I need to do some serious character outlines for my five characters because I only know them on the surface and that’s not good.
So, I am going to handwrite my character outlines first then, put them in the Story Plotter website for the characters.
I need to plot and plan the characters first then move onto the story once I figured my characters out fully.
Whew!
Blergh, I am gonna plan this novel some more.
It needs planning, but in the meantime, I am gonna write something else just to finish NaNo and the month on 50k words and say that I managed to write 50k in a month, which would be a record for me. I don’t wanna half-arse this when it’s gonna take me a while to write it, and I don’t wanna edit it again.
