I think I need to do this very same thing. I need a timeline for each of my characters too so I’ll know where each of them is when various things happen, and then weave those timelines all together maybe into an outline or something. *thinks some more*
I got my ONE AND ONLY main character, Anjan Terris.
He is my main focus and the story he is in work SO MUCH BETTER than what I originally had for it.
So I was just thinking about how Neil Gaiman helped translate the screenplay for Ghibli movies like Nausicaa, and the thought popped into my head of what would happen if he was asked to translate the Dragonball Super Broly movie…
He’s not a bad writer by any means, he isn’t my favorite but I respect him…but there is a certain tone he is specialized in, that no version of Dragon Ball could ever fit into.
Hello all. I’ve been on hiatus, prioritizing book stuff and life, etc. What have you all been up to?
Good for you! You’ve been working on your website, haven’t you? I remember checking it out a while back but hadn’t been there in a long time. Then I checked it out again this week and it’s all different. Super nice! (*^-‘) 乃
thanks for the attention. I appreciate it.
I made a few updates to present my book better. A lot more work is needed though, and I might end up switching hosting providers soon so a lot more changes are on the horizon.
It takes so much time to do it though. Such a slow process!
I got my story idea, but I need to start chapter one for Project SC.
Still don’t have a definite title because I am deciding on what it should be.
I know that Anjan comes back to the palace after the previous Sovereign handed the throne to one of his children. So, he return to meet the new Sovereign and learn what happened since he’s been gone. He takes his place as the Sovereign’s Court imperial fixer and handle the many issues all over again.
I suppose I can start from there.
Wish me luck!
Everything I’ve been writing lately is terribly melancholic
I was editing my poems and looking through old ones and came across this. It’s a snippet because it’s long.
I remember one day I thought I’d look up names of medieval knights and rhyme them with food.
Is there a trope name for this?
On my fictional planet, the air that the beings living there breathe grants them immortality and ability to use magical powers. What is that called, because I can’t figure out the trope for that?
Anybody know?
That’s pretty cool.
Does everything have to be a trope?
Well, I made a tier list thread and wanted to rank the tropes I love and hate there. I love whatever trope that magical air is and I was trying to find it because I wanted to know if the trope had a name or not.
That’s all.
Deep in the bowels of NaNo.
Good for you.
This is the first nano that I’m not going to win. I thought I could rebel it but that was overly optimistic.
Writing is what it is.
Yeah… LOL!
I am typing old documents to give it a fresh a new look.
I already did the character one, I have to do the others as well.
Then I shall return to chapter 1 of BSM later.
I never thought up or attempted to write a character like Anjan.
I normally don’t write characters like that and this is a first for me because I kept contemplating on why Anjan needs to help the rich, powerful, and divine that rules the world.
Because I feel a crazy plot twist coming for the story that I haven’t even gotten to yet.
I finished chapter 1 hours ago and now I need to work on chapter 2.
However, before I start chapter 2, I need to really understand Anjan’s goal and motivation as a character.
