Today’s shift at work can go and get stuffed
I’m So pissed
I finally saw a story use “she is pretty but no lesbo”. My life is complete.
Thinking and thinking some more….
Thinking about a new story project placed in Alagossia called Project Warrior Queen…
This story is going to be focused on the current ruling queen who is also a mother hailing from a long line of magical female warriors, she is dealing with a different type of war placed on a different kind of battlefield…her court and nation in a huge crisis.
That’s all I got.
I’ve decided to make a creative writing and reading journal with my newer journal that I used for writing about my daily life. I think I want separate journals for creative writing and reading then another strictly for daily life.
There is so much I want to say about my story projects that I can’t in my daily life journal. So, I plan to do that and return back to Barnes and Noble to buy things for next month for writing and reading related things.
I think it works better that way because I need my writing and reading related stuff from my daily life stuff.
Nothing else to report.
Since I make videos analyzing writing advice articles, I decided to take a look at some of my own.
I rewrote this one on 6 elements for a good first chapter.
I think it’s clear. Anyone have thoughts?
That’s funny, I was reading an article about famous authors who kept journals only this morning. Mostly they seemed to use them to complain about writer’s block. (>‿◠)
Lol!
Completed chapter 1, part 1 of Project Succession’s second draft.
It turned out really great to me at least. It felt good to write again and I liked how this chapter went in terms of potential I suppose.
So, I am not going to stress about it too much until I edit it once it is finished.
Nothing else to report.
Started Chapter 1, Part 2 of Project Succession’s second draft and I must say it is going smoothly.
I am starting to feel like the second draft is actually the real first draft I wanted to do, but couldn’t since it went in a weird, wonky way.
I am pleased though with that.
10K words into book three
And I’m only on chapter 2
Completed chapter 1, part 2 of Project Succession’s true first draft at 2852.
I am realizing that the word count is the same as part 1. I wonder if all the chapters will be that long, that will be funny as hell.
In that moment, the poor, wretched Anastasia almost crumbled to tears. With a shuddering inhale she pulled herself together, barely managing to collect all pieces of herself. She missed her husband so much one could have heard the continuous shattering of her heart.
Editing ch.1 of Alive At Dawn for Ream and wanted to share this
I wasn’t able to finish the last short story before the contest deadline, but I intend on finishing it either way when possible
Last I wrote, Opi met a cat that hopped out of a portal and a familiar flower demon from a different story
I am currently on chapter 1, part 5 of Project Succession right now and taking a break from it till tomorrow.
This is amazing in hindsight to me that is a bit of a spoiler on Aeris’s race and how it works. She is a Tirron and when I get to the editing stage, it’s going to be a funny bit of foreshadowing of sorts.
LOL!
Felt like sharing this recent bit of my magical realism story I edited for Ream. Mallord is a retired detective who recently had a visit from an old colleague. He turned the colleague away…but…
“Honey,” Penelope came in. “What was Albert after?”
Before Mallord could answer, she went on. “I bet he came to you with a case, didn’t he? I knew it. No sir, Albert Reed, no.” She wagged her finger. “My Mallard Duck will not go flying off to another case like he did when he was younger, no sir, his adventure days are over.”
Mallord stood and pulled her into a kiss. “Couldn’t have said it better, my dear.” He smiled.
“Took the words out of your mouth, didn’t I?” she said with a teasing smile.
As Mallord watched her go back upstairs at the calls of Rose, he decided he would ignore Albert and the letter. It was not going to happen. His family needed him here. No demon-possessed Richard-man or Glöckner mediums or Albert would bother him again. No, they would just have to move on to some other seer. And that was that.
Or…was it? The letter peeked out of the pile, and Mallord found it hard to ignore.
I wrote 3k words so naturally won’t be able to write anything for the next month because writer’s brain logic
I am done with chapter 1, part 5 of Project Succession!
I will start chapter 2, part 1 tomorrow when I get the chance and boy did I love the last chapter so much.
Yay! I am done!
It’s been very interesting writing a story where characters feel the passage of time much differently to humans.
A year goes by so fast for them. Talking about “a decade ago” is like saying “a year ago”. 24 hours is so short to them and they don’t even need to sleep every day because they don’t get tired enough. On the other hand, they can sleep for months at a time, too.
The quick passage of time is clear especially when I say that Humans are having a war…and then some decades later, the war ends. But to dragonoids, the “some decades later” isn’t that much time later and they will wait out a Human war if they have to.
Because their passage of time is so different, when I write scenes, it’s only the highlights over a course of many decades. Sometimes the highlights are a few days or a few weeks, but I don’t go into every little day and every little incident. Just major ones. Occasionally I mention the season especially if it has to do with the highlight.
