It’s like a prominent browbone like some apes have.
lol, I see XD
Yeah true. All I need is Sal and his life experience.
I will honestly write something for Sal to keep him quiet and make him go away
I don’t dislike Sal but he’s being annoying lol.
Write him away ![]()
Got to be in the right head space for Jorildyn. ![]()
I recognized you from your comment XD
I managed to finish Chapter 2, Part 1 of Project Succession!
Thank goodness.
I can move to the next part later today or tomorrow.
Finished Chapter 2, Part 2 of Project Succession!
Feeling good but also tired too. LOL!
I am struggling to get past the first chapter of my book. is this when i should start another book or keep pushing lol what to doooo
This is where you check your outline and adjust if necessary. If you don’t have an outline, you might try making a list of possible outcomes of whatever the last thing was that happened in your story. Hopefully something will come to you. Good luck! ( -.-)\(^◡^ )
ah yes. should plan more perhaps.
Hi! May I ask specifically what is giving you trouble?
Also, one thing you could do is start on another chapter and go back and link things later! Depending on how flexible your story concept is, if you do that and like that start better, you could shift whatever you manage to type up to be the new start of your book as well!
Personally, I can’t do that because I get bored if I know how the story goes (beyond the ending), but it might work for you!
I am not done, but I did manage to hit the 20k mark for Project Succession and I am very pleased with that.

Just realised I stuffed up the relative ages and birth years of my significant characters again. I never stop doing this.
Current character lore / background is Hannah was four years old when Karen’s mercenaries were involved in the Kossovo conflict, and Polanski was pregnant with Gur* while she and Wolff (Polanski’s husband) were fighting in Kosovo with Karen’s mercenaries. Problem being this would make Gur 16 in 2014 when he should be 18 and serving in the IDF (Paratroopers). And Hannah was born in 1993 (a main event in my second novel), while Kosovo went south fast in 1998…Hannah should be six at this time, and Gur should be two…I’ve now got some short stories and (discontinued) novel chapters to rewrite.
*Gur is Hebrew for puppy. A good name for the son of a Wolff.
But there might be a silver lining of sorts. In my current story, set in 2016, Polanksi could show Dov old family photos from Kosovo to emphasis the significance of Dov (a former Australian Commando) staying with Karen’s mercenaries, and of being Krista’s (Polanski and Wolff’s daughter) companion. Photos depicting the surviving members of an Australian Commando team who, despite their trauma and losses from a battle fought by the mercenaries’ side hours before, insisted on comforting and consoling the mercs’ distraught children (Hannah and Gur). Maybe the Commandos gave the kids their shoulder patches as souvenirs, and Hannah kept a few of them while Karen acquired the rest…Well, the patches that Gur didn’t chew on (those are in Krista’s private collection)…
I finished chapter 2, part 3 of Project Succession! I have to start going by the actual chapter number so others won’t be confused. So, I have finished chapter 8 and now I am going on chapter 9. I shall start tomorrow because I am tired.
Honestly, the title is starting to bother me a bit. I mean it needs the word Knight in it, but I am still at a loss though I may have to use a temporary title that can work maybe for it in the future.
So, I am glad that I am over the 20k mark and am moving along.
Congratulations on hitting 20K! I’m looking forward to seeing you hit 30K, then 40K, and so and so forth!
I think that Succession has a nice ring to it as part of a title! It’s a word I don’t see used a lot and is very to the point. I don’t know much about your story, but maybe you can try to mash that and Knight together to see what you come up with; like, ‘Succession of Knights’ or ‘Knightly Succession’?
You’ll come up with something new that you like for a title! I believe in you ![]()
Pretty much a female Knight goes to learn the truth about random deaths and other terrible things plaguing a royal dynasty that is getting out of hand. Her life alters when she summons a god which is something members of the royal family do, by accident, thus placing her in the middle of a succession crisis and other familial drama. So, she has to learn the ways of being a princess while still performing her duties as a Knight.
Thanks. This is the actual first draft because the other draft was more so like the zero draft that I finished at 115k.
This sounds amazing ![]()
Once it’s done, I will need to remember to ask you how to get my hands on a copy/where I can read it at!
Oh?! I had assumed that this would’ve been the zero draft for some reason! Very nice!
It’s tricky because the draft I am working on is exactly how I wanted it. But the other draft is me getting into the swing of things. And yet me completing it showcased that I finished my first novel for the first time ever at over 115k words.
I need to find a place to place my story in order to share it with others. I am limited in that regard. LOL!
