What’s a good surname for a demon?

No writing yesterday, maybe later today.

Maybe these will give you some ideas…? You might want to sort this first Wiki list by the last column, since some of these are angels and deities, etc.

I am going to have to draw a map, continent by continent then the final map will be of Alagossia as a whole.

I shall even toss in the island near the continents too. I got three large sizes of paper to focus on three continents, super continents that are three times bigger than Pangaea.

So, I am pleased with that.

Nearly done with Chapter 10 and finally introduced the rest of Hayatozca into the story. Still thinking about potential twists later on involving a past murder being connected to the current one(s?)

Oo those look good. Thanks!

Issue: Since I’m self-publishing Between Roses, the next step should be to work on The Last Princess of Atlia, or The Rat Girl as those books are part of the standalone series. However, I want to finish my nearly-finished rewrite of Lunar Heart, Shadow Bound.

To not keep people waiting too much, I did consider publishing a book of poetry. Poetry related to Between Roses. I did actually have a book of poems related to Between Roses on Wattpad once. Some of these were poems that appeared in the book, and some were extended poems, and some were new ones.

I also want to publish a book of dark poetry unrelated to any book.

Solution: I’m going to go with finishing Lunar Heart, Shadow Bound. If I start to stress about making people wait, I won’t be able to produce quality or enjoy writing books. (I did try to start the editing of The Rat Girl, but it hasn’t been that long since writing it, and I’m not ready to get back to it. The edit is going horribly unsatisfactorily.)

I’m going to make what I want to make and readers are gonna have to deal with it. The same goes with my YouTube channel.

I am done with chapter 20 of Project Succession!

That chapter was so good! The next chapter will introduce the Kriegman Clan.

:fearful:

It’s a long story… probably not for here. Basically, long story short: had to build myself up by taking a break after stuff happened, and now I’m an AO3 user, I’m an actress, and a Special Olympics athlete.

Writing unhinged characters is my speciality and it’s also super fun. I like making them, lol. Julio’s great.

I wrote a short-short for my patreon. It’s a character from my magic realism story, written in omniscient POV. Usually, short-shorts cost something, but hey, you guys are special.

Here’s a snippet of a wippet:

The wind picked up sand grains and threw them across the desert, distributing them again and again in different places, and taking them on new adventures each time. Michael watched the sand with envy as he sat, leaning against a tree. If only he could disintegrate into tiny pieces and let the wind carry him far across the desert and the sea.

As a boy of only fifteen, he was an adventurous coward who wanted to be in the world without having to face its trials or see its evils. Why, a journey far beyond the dull brick buildings, the roads crowded with hansom cabs and horse-pulled carriages, and the bleak faces of all the tired, strict people who talked down to him—it would be the journey of a lifetime! Michael desperately wished to run away and never look back. He wanted to forget who he was and figure out the why of himself.

Who was he? Why was he existing? What was his purpose?

He was grazing the cusp of adulthood, irritable all the time because to society he was “Boy” or “Dear boy” or “Child”. And yet, now, he could breathe a deep sigh filled with the heaviness of someone beyond his years. But frustratingly, he was not yet wise. If he were, he wouldn’t have chosen the edge of the desert to rest. He would have at least found himself a blanket to keep warm. Michael didn’t know how cold and miserable a night out here could be.

I’ve just realized that some stories make sense without chronological order. Or out of order to fit the narrative. Don’t feel you have to cram all of your story into the present all of the time to make it work.

Nice! I like this, especially the description of Michael in the second paragraph. But I think you misspelled hansom cab.

Have you ever heard the word hobbledehoy ? It’s my favorite old-fashioned word for boys this age. U^ェ^U

Oh yeah, I thought something was odd XD Hansom cabs are handsome? XD (update: edited the snippet post)

And I definitely have that Wiki page in my favorites somewhere.

I went back to this website, but I wanted to try something different with this site. Because I enjoy having things on paper more than digitally, I would write things down from the site onto a notebook.

This is the site.

I hit over the 70k mark for Project Succession!
Yippee! I am moving on to chapter 26, which means I have nine chapters of the first book left.

I am so proud of myself!

The best way to write is to not care about hitting every single manufactured plot point in your zero/first draft and then let it flow and write itself. The more you panic and want to force it into a plan, the less it works. Because a first draft ain’t gonna be a masterpiece. Even Stephen King has editors.
