Aight, I don’t mind giving up spoilers because I don’t really publish on Wattpad anymore lol.
So, synopsis:
Jae Perez is a magic-user, wizard, mage, whatever you call it. He and his friends take on commissions, helping people with their magical problems. They are 16 yo btw, so they’re not real experts. Anyway, it was reported on the news that children have been missing in their area. There have been already been 5 missing. One day, a kid from their class, Fred asked Jae for help in their village. Apparently, there have been duwendes (elf-dwarf-like creatures) terrorizing their village. Jae and his friends went to investigate and found out, it was some inexplicably aggravated normally-docile spirits that have been causing trouble. On their way home, Jae and Fred went on their separate ways. The next day, Fred was reported missing. Jae was questioned as he was the last person seen with Fred. Jae told the police everything, then he was told to leave it to the police. Feeling guilty, Jae started to search for his classmate. He even went to far as using a dangerous magical method to find the kid, but to no avail. Suddenly, on his way to school, he finds Fred waving at him at a narrow alley at the back of their classroom. Jae followed Fred and finds a freshly dug hole. There he finds Fred’s barely alive body. Fred’s soul’s core was taken. For the next few days, Jae and his friends have been finding lost souls of children. Jae caught the attention of a local deity. This deity reveals that a dark wizard’s soul managed to escape from the depths of the underworld. So, the deity helped Jae on finding the deity. Unfortunately, the governing body that regulates the magical world in their city barred Jae from participating in the investigation as he was “too young.” Jae agreed ofc as he woudn’t know how to capture a dark wizard’s soul. One day, his friend called him and tells him that they found a way to summon the dark wizard and capture the soul. Jae refused because he knows they are not strong enough to even cast the summoning spell. His friends continues though, so Jae attempted to stop them only to find Claire (sorry for not naming them earlier lol) clutching Timo’s soul core on her hand. She lunged towards Jae but the amulet Jae was wearing sent a shockwave, knocking them both out. Jae woke up 3 days later, literally barred from ever entering the school (cause that’s where Claire was). Jae again refused to help, well because he’s weak and what has he against a dark wizard. But he was then haunted by dozens of lost souls to fight, cause apparently, the Department of Magic decided to just torch the whole school. (The soul cores can be restored if they are intact, so destroying the school will just destroy the soul cores which is in Claire’s hands). Jae finally gave in and snuck in. Jae fought Claire, but his amulet got taken off mid fight and Claire poke a hole into Jae’s heart. Miraculously, Jae got revived, and used his forbidden magic to defeat the dark wizard possessing Claire.

I am suddenly interested in writing about my own version of mermen, should I do it over the military story idea? I still need like 23k for NaNo. I am writing various stories over the month to make 50k because it’s a lot easier and helps me progress.

I managed to write a couple hundred words for Chapter XX! I’m really hoping that it won’t go past 3000 words, especially since I’ve moved quite a number of paragraphs to XXI already, but I think I’ll be able to stay within the limit here. Hopefully ^-^
Also looks like today’s a lucky Wattpad day! There was this reader who joined Wattpad less than a day ago—well, at that time at least—and they somehow found my experimental poetry book! They not only voted on all chapters, but they also left a few comments, followed my account, and told me that they’d read my other works too after I thanked them in private messages 
And this other Wattpadder stumbled upon my graphic shop, whose link I’ve shared here, and apparently that’s how she discovered my portal fantasy book. She ended up voting, commenting, adding my book to her reading list, and following me too! I thanked her on her message board and she said that she originally read it because she saw it on my cover shop—it was listed under the payment section—and then just kept reading it and told me it was amazing 
Today’s a good Wattpad day, two people I’ve never talked to before stumbling upon my work

Remember when I stated days or weeks ago that I am going to write two chapter for each of my three novels, wait a bit/take a very small break, read over the chapters then see if I like going in that direction or I should try another direction, then I shall rewrite those chapters and do the rest with some much need plotting and planning?
Well, I didn’t say all that, but the point is that I am sticking method still.
Just wanted to say that. Nothing else to report.

I need a break…mentally.
Not in the right place and mindset to write creatively. So, I am taking a hiatus from here and writing until I get my shit in order. I’m slowly becoming worried about myself and how things are going in my life.
I won’t say anything else other than I shall return when things start getting better for me mentally and lifestyle wise. I don’t know how long that will be, but that will mean, my writing has to be pushed to the side so that I can really focus on me.
I am not giving up on writing entirely, just pushing it away till I can come back to with a clear state of mind.
Nothing else to report and I shall return much later.

I could make a suggestion. Whether it works for you or not, is up to you, but I can try to help you AND myself.
Just write down which each idea that you actually want to write the most. Circle the ones that catch your eye more than you thought.
The circled ones that you selected can be developed more and your main focus.
Self-discipline is very important. If you don’t have it, try to get it.
Out of the circle ones, also see which idea is not only more intriguing and interesting but will make a better story for you to enjoy.
If nothing works, then find help elsewhere or something.
I don’t know if I was being helpful or not and I do apologize in advance.
