Ah, a classic!

It gives you a very in-depth look in a character’s psyche and situation.

It’s really good for a scene you just can’t see any driving motivation for.

This is actually a pretty cool way to come up with an idea–very similar to using plot generators and whatnot. And when you fill in the blanks in the first link, you’ve got your outline done too. Wizard! ٩(˘◡˘)۶

I’ve heard of using tarot. I’ve always been curious about it. It would be cool to write a story based on a tarot reading though my inner critic would likely want to override everything, lol.
