Time for a vacation!

I was thinking about the many places in Alagossia that are so touristy and fit for vacationers to come and see the sights.

I know a few countries that have people come from across the world to vacate and have a good time.

The Empire of Jaeblia is a country famous for three things:

  1. Grand Fountain City.
  2. Aquamarina Shopping District.
  3. Veni-boats Tour.

The Kingdom of Movaria is a country famous for two things:

  1. Large ice-skating rink and snow sled-cabs.
  2. Icicle Grand Hotel.

The Kingdom of Khollothage is famous for four things:

  1. The Grand Shopping District
  2. The Elite Home Community.
  3. Royal Capital Park.
  4. Castle Area.

I have more places, but these are the ones that I know so far.

Thoughts and feelings?

I asked this with the intention to know if there’s anyone interested in traveling to these spots. I do want to know if any of you have any spots in your fictional countries that people flock to because it’s the biggest attraction.

Do you or not at all? It’s fine if you don’t, I thought I’d ask.

Anywhere like this?

Jaeblia, Khollothage, Kenorland, and Brussinia. There are other places too, but I haven’t dive into those places yet in terms of world-building.

Believe it or not, Alagossia has far more countries than Earth could ever have, due to it being larger and more vast.

I am just realizing that. LOL!

Wroah! Do they have gelato and ramen places, too?

The food is starkly different from anything on Earth, so no.

Anybody else???

I like the idea of Holiday Destinations within these fictional worlds.

While Arillion has none of these such destinations, each local has differing Festivals and such, which I guess folk would travel to witness of the back of rumour upon the talk of the taverns.

My characters are currently doing the Grand Tour, except they’re only going to be away a few months instead of years. Right now they’re in Venice at the carnival watching a phantasmagoria, the 18th century’s idea of a horror flick. (āŠ™.āŠ™(-Ģ¶ā—Ģƒā‚’ā—ĢƒĢ¶)āŠ™.āŠ™)

So, that is something you would never do, I see?
I don’t blame ya, I suppose. LOL!

Honestly, I need to think up festivals and holidays for the countries that hold importance to whatever story that is set in Alagossia.

All your stuff sounds really fun! I’d definitely go to the ice skating rink, castle area, parks, and shopping districts. If you conveniently have a really cool library that’s open to the public, I’d go there too :joy:

Honestly, in my writing, vacation spots don’t really come up because it has nothing at all to do with the plot and is currently not relevant to the world building I’ve done so far ;-;

snaps fingers I got it!
A small-ish town made up of libraries and bookshops along with cozy restaurants too.

I need to figure out which country that could work in. Screw it, I can make that a standalone thing.

Thanks for helping me without realizing.

Wait, don’t certain places in Europe have something similar to that but a tad smaller, like a street or something?

I honestly have no idea but it’s Europe so there’s probably one :joy:

I don’t like to travel all that much. It’s work. So, if we’re talking about actual travel, no, no I don’t want to go anywhere based off a title, 99% of the time… but the Icicle Grand Hotel made me curious.

I get that.

This is a weird thing I had to think about.

I was thinking of an entire hotel made of ice and snow or having the decor scream winter wonderland all over the hotel.

If I chose the first option, I doubt you’d like to be in a hotel made up of nothing but ice, snow, and cold. LOL!

I do think the first option is great, but the second is more common. Think of an igloo in a palace style.

I used to see a little something when people did vlogs, but not all the time.
