The least talked about aspect of A Song of Ice and Fire is the fact that there are people chosen by the gods, but they are undead and somewhat unsettling. I find that the chosen one story is best when nobody in the audience would really want such awesome power and responsibility. It is something to think about.

It’s the same way with choosing politicians, you what those who run to not be power-hungry.
