I’ve been pondering making this novel that I am working on into my debut novel or another one. However, I just want to know how I can spruce this plot up to make it believable.
The story I am talking about is Red Reign.
The general plot
Aeris still has not recovered losing her parents which always seems to weight heavily on her mind. As she gets older, Aeris notices that things aren’t quite normal within her saintdom — like many of the others. There appears to be intruders in the saintdoms, posing as their own for some secret goal, during the time where Aeris is trying to gather information on the loss of the parents. That eventually brings her to meeting Jorildyn who is a princess like Aeris, stealing something from Aeris only to get caught. It’s then that Aeris learns that Jorildyn is on her own mission to regain her lost memories of her past. Aeris and Jorildyn are going to work together to reclaim the truths about their saintdoms and the saintdoms overall while solving the mystery of who is pretending to be who among their saintdoms.
How can I make this sound more believable in the story? I wrote down notes, but it feels like it’s not enough. What do you think? Thoughts and feelings?
