Surprise to these three as well

Oh, it appears that there are a few more volumes that never got adapted. Granted, it has a different tagline and Aniwave likes to split up seasons into seperate tv shows, but yeah. There is more suffering in store for your favorite compulsive gambler.

Current: Hotel night auditor.

I’m a supervisor, they just won’t let me have the title for some reason, and I can’t be bothered to fight for it when I know I’m leaving.

Dream: not sure. work isn’t horribly important to me as long as it pays the bills, but I need to have a job that keeps me away from constant social interaction so that I don’t want to kms every other week. I’m almost done my library tech diploma so I’ll probably look for positions in academic libraries as a reference libtech, where I can put my research spirals to good use, or special libraries like what you would find in a law office or hospital.

One of my favourite jobs in the past was doing inventory cycle counts in an industrial mill, so if I ever finish my parts tech diploma, I think working as an industrial inventory clerk would be a great back up career as well. Mm, counting dusty bolts every day… limited social interaction… so nice.

It’s called me looking at country shortage lists and choosing something I was relatively competent at so I can eventually get a skilled worker visa and flee the sinking ship that is the UK lolol.

Note to other countries: Don’t cut off your main economic trade partner with no alternative. Good way to self-destruct economically.

This is why I’m forcing myself to learn coding lmao

I have a Ko-Fi but most of my promo is from Toyhou.se (the website is a character storage site with forums and other features.) I never get any big payouts to make it a living wage so most of the time the money goes back to other small artists. I’m planning on expanding my Ko-Fi shop though it’s not a high priority.

So far the new school year is going well. The students are pretty well behaved and seem very eager to learn (This may simply be newlywed syndrome, but I can hope.) As far as the subjects, I teach at a middle school so it’s kind of on a High School Model. I work the ELA and History while my partner teacher works with the same kids for Math/Science (subjects I taught up until two years ago)

I served for 21 years from May of 88 to May of 09 - all in aviation, so I maintained the air craft and ensured they were ready to fly. Retired as an E-7 (a Chief Petty Officer)

Right?

My grandfather “programmed the nuke bombers” between WWII and Vietnam, basically did a similar job for his minimal enlistment. He went in at 17.

Weee… I was more like maintaining the hydraulic systems and flight controls and stuff.

Back then it was punchcards that you didnt make yourself and matinence. Remember, these things didnt see much usue after Japan, unless the military repurposed them. He was still doing grunt work. I only found out that he did this because my dad watched his father slowly get used to playing solitare on a more modern computer. Just a “he used to be involved with programming, and has this much trouble with a modern computer.”

The only reason I understood punchard programming is that I had a math teacher explaining that we had it made with our TI-83 calculators.

And now, I programmed in highschool (Basic and Java, when C and C+ were startingnto dominate) and get frustrated when I have to be walked through fixing errors on my own computer, forget trying to fix a phone. The gap between knowledgeable and obsolte is striking.

Current job: I work in an airport.

Dream job: it’s my secret, jk… I wanted to be a flight attendant at one point but after all I’ve heard and witnessed, it’s a no go. What I really want to do now is become a food content creator with enough resources to travel far from home.

Current job: Senior web developer

Dream Job: To not work at all or at least work my current job part time so I can have more time to… more time! More time! To write! To art! To video game! To live life instead of selling my soul to capitalism until the day I die. :weary: It’d be nice to make money from my writing but I never want to be on a strict schedule like “You must complete one book a year” bc honey, not happening lol my ADHD decides what I’m doing.

Oh! I really liked baking. I used to bake stuff all the time for years and stopped doing it I guess bc it’s not the healthiest but I always told people when I retire, I’d love to open a little tea bakery. :cupcake:

That’s where some alt recipes will make a greater impact. Like squash cake. It’s a way to increase veggies, but doesn’t impact the flavor of cake at all. It impacts moisture level.

True. It’s mostly the sugar that’s an issue for me. Makes my anxiety spike so I have to eat sugar in moderation. :disappointed:

And the technology advancement is accelerating at a faster rate than ever.

You specialize, then it’s gone.

I’m currently working in corporate customer support, haven’t yet figured out what my dream job would be :joy: Perhaps therein lies the root cause of my occasional depressive bouts lol. I don’t know what I would like to do for a living if not this. I know some things I would not like to do, I’ve figured out some boundaries by now. And I think I wouldn’t like to write full-time. If it became something I had to do, I might stop enjoying it :joy:

I sometimes feel like I would love to do something meaningful, but the benefit of a meaningless corporate job is that there’s only as much pressure as you put on yourself. I’m lucky enough to be in a position where I’m really good at my job, so quite a few folks appreciate me, but also the company won’t die without me, so I can take time off almost whenever I want. I like it being a 9-to-5 and I guess one reason I don’t have a dream job is because there’s not much middle ground between a 9-to-5 office job and 24/7 self-publishing/own business/etc

Yup… and the less we work with a technology the larger that gap becomes.

Currently I’m a learning development specialist/ associate lecturer at a university. Also a member-owner of a bookshop but I make no money from that lolol.

My dream job? Full time lecturer/ social researcher :skull: I’d love to do a gig as a writer/poet-in-residence at one point or be a writer/ poet laureate.
