What's for dinner?

Wanted to make a thread talking about what we’re having for dinner. It can be anything from a granola bar to a whole meal.

Let’s chat about it.

My Turn:

Fried porkchops with french fries.

What about you? Feel free to come back anytime.

Sounds so good! (ღ˘ᴗ˘ღ)

I’m having a kale salad with poppyseed dressing, and then chocolate chip cookies. ٩(˘◡˘)۶

Thank you. It tasted good too.

How do you typically have your salads? I mean what do you like to add to your salad?

Beef ramen

Instant ramen?

No, I made it from scratch…with beef broth.

Do you add anything into your ramen?

That’s cool you make it from scratch.

Mostly just scallions and garlic

I had breaded mushrooms with homemade pink sauce for lunch and I am having chicken dinner (chicken, carrots, potatoes, green veg) for dinner

Wow! That sounds so delicious!

I’m lazy so I just buy those premade salad kits. This one comes with kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, radicchio, dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds. I could do without the Brussels sprouts, but they’re not overwhelming so you barely notice them. A good salad! ( ˘ ³˘)

Turkey wings. I don’t know which side dish we’ll be having with it.

Sancocho for dinner and dippin dots for dessert

Unexpected combination, but it worked out!

What’s that? Not the dipping dots.

I’ve never heard of that.

Sancocho is a stew-like dish that’s common here and in Caribbean/Latino cuisine generally, and it tastes amaziiiiing

It’s commonly made with various meats, chicken, and vegetables. Goes really well with rice!

That looks so good.

We went shopping today, so I’m having General Tso’s chicken and rice pre-made from Sam’s Club. You just heat it in the microwave for two minutes and it’s done. ლ ლ (˘ᵋ ˘ )

That sounds tasty, but I don’t microwave food anymore. I use my halogen oven or airfryer. (You can use the halogen for rice too, if you wet it and put it on the bottom). In my experience, it makes it 1000 times better.
