The Death Owls are cursed…
Temulkar stole away their souls and held them within a Soul Stone. Though they did know it at this time of their allegiance to his army (many thousands of years ago)…
They are held to never die, to be always a servant of the Three because of their failure to follow their allotted requirements when the war against the Dwarves began… They turned away from the fight for they deemed it, unjust. Temulkar rebuked their actions that day, and cast a horrific curse upon them. A long and slow painful decay of life that will last eternally…
When Geldrid does indeed meet with them, Ninoth the Lord of the Death Owls is seen as a decayed corpse, with open wounds, bones apparent, and filled with disease and maggots which pulsate in a slow life… A longevity that will last forever…
Pained with this curse upon himself and his kin, he agrees to uphold a new honour with Geldrid. A freedom from Temulkar’s curse upon heralding to Geldrid’s requests of calling… But what is his true thoughts regarding this alliance, and will he uphold it?

Death Owls could be either a biker gang or some crime syndicate.

It did not…
And it would be a great Name for a Biker Gang of sorts in a modern story for sure…
But it is their Size and Description which shows their name… Yet they are not entirely evil, but wish to reclaim their kingdom rightfully in time… And only Geldrid can gift that moment during these times…
