What's your're're favourite movie?

I had a bad day so I’m going to watch my fav, which is The Suicide Squad (2021). I loved the concept of the first one so much that even though the movie itself was the worst movie I’ve ever unironically laid eyes on, I still watched it twice and read the novelization.

SO YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW THRILLED I WAS WHEN THEY MADE IT ACTUALLY GOOD! the drama, the cinematogrophy, the antiheroes! :star_struck:

HUGE SPOILERS DO NOT UNBLUR IF U HAVEN’T WATCHED THE MOVIE

This shot??

THIS SHOT???

I watched this 3 times in theater and I would go again in a heartbeat if given the opportunity.

SO, what are your favourite movies, and why? and how do you like to watch them?

I actually, and surprisingly, have never watched Suicide Squad. My family has, but I hadn’t. I think I just wasn’t that interested when it first came out in 2016…? But it’s been on a list of movies I need to watch just to say I watched it. Haha.

Anyway, I can’t say a single movie since I love many. So… I’ll do what Matthew did.

Horror:

  • Stay Alive. It’s been my favorite and most scariest movie I’ve ever seen since I was 10 back in 2006. Though now, it’s just the music that scares me. It’s also the start of my small obsession with Elizabeth Bathory, a serial killer from the 1500-1600s who, in myth and legend, murdered 600 girls.

  • Final Destination. The third one is my favorite one out of all of them, just because it gives me an extra comfort in a way haha.

  • Alien. The xenomorphs are so scary. :scream: It also lead me to my favorite horror game… Alien: Isolation.

  • Ouiji: Origin of Evil. It’s one of the only movies I’ve seen about ghosts and demons that is actually good. Movies like Insidious, Conjuring, Paranormal Activity… they aren’t that scary to me.

    1. It’s one of the best ones out there, and it’s crazy that it has an alternate ending, too.

Romance:

  • You’ve Got Mail. I watch it almost every year. Plus, I’m in love with Tom Hanks.

  • The Proposal. I love me some enemies to lovers plots, and this one doesn’t disappoint. Sandra Bullock does an amazing job and it’s hilarious!

  • A Walk to Remember. This one is amazing and beautiful, and it’s worth a good cry.

  • How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Best comfort movie.

  • the Holiday. A movie I watch every Christmas. So beautiful.

Action:

  • Ocean’s Eleven. Casino robbing, hilarious characters, nearly an all-star cast? Amazing.

  • Miss Congeniality. Sandra Bullock is one of my favorite actresses, so… it’s no surprise.

  • Now You See Me. I love magicians and this movie was so fantastic.

  • Deja Vu. Denzel Washington is another one of my favorite actors. Love him so much. This movie is so amazing.

  • National Treasure. When I was a kid, I had a massive crush on Nicolas Cage. I would watch this movie and my other favorite from him, Ghost Rider, religiously. I also love this movie because I’m a huge history nerd. Also can’t wait for the next movie.

Fantasy/Sci-fi:

  • Pirates of the Caribbean. Absolutely phenomenal. I’m obsessed with pirate stuff since this movie.

  • Elysium. Such a good and underrated movie.

  • Treasure Planet. Ugh. Love it so much!! And it comes with the best song from the lead singer of Goo Goo Dolls.

  • Marvel movies. Yes, counting all of them haha. Huge Marvel nerd here.

  • Harry Potter. Very comforting.

Thrillers:

  • Where the Crawdads Sing. The book was great but the movie was so goood!

  • the Call. This is a crazy movie! So good.

  • Hush. So good and scary!

  • Hidden. Nice twist on zombies!

  • Stonehearst Asylum. Really messed up, but really good!

the Firefly one? :open_mouth:

sounds interesting :face_with_monocle: and yummy

don’t watch the original, it’s not worth it. All you need to know is Rick Flag, Harley, and Boomer were on the squad in the first one and that’s why they know each other in the 2021 one.

if this is the one where the guy gets nuclear radiation poisoning then it kind of made my head feel weird (like physically) to watch.

but it was also like, 3am so maybe that had something to do with it.

Currently watching the mcu in order, including the series. I… am struggling through Agent Carter = P it’s interesting but i’m just not in the mood rn. But I can’t watch the next movie until it’s finished.

voila, you two are now friends

are u telling me i put an ABNORMAL BRAIN into a seven and a half foot lonğ, fifty-four inch wiide [wheeze], GORILLA?!

like the village?

oh nice! Stargate is my personal favourite of the Star[blank]s but Star Trek is a close second. Especially Deep Space Nine, for Seven of Nine, of course. Or the ones with Janeway or Picard, because I watched those the most with my dad growing up.

:eyes: also a fave of mine, if we’re talking about the Wolverine one
