Maybe the photo on the second cover and the font on the first cover, with the font colors toned down so they don’t distract from the image. And frame the image (above and below) with the title’s text.

I like the first as it’s catching the eye nicely, but maybe a different colour scheme would work better. You could try a few and see which pulls you towards it.
