Your 2023 Ultimate Trope Tier List for Science-fiction and Fantasy....

2023 is almost over very soon and then comes 2024.

Anyway, I wanted to make a LONG list of the best and worst tropes sci-fi and fantasy for this year that you’ve grown to love. I desires to know what tropes you love, have mixed feelings for, and hated for this whole year. In the many books that you’ve read and media that you immersed yourself in or the stories that you are writing that show what tropes you truly favor.

Here is the ranking that you all should follow to the letter:

S-tier: The absolute trope- the love of my life. IT’S THE GOD-TIER OF ALL TROPES FOR ME!
A tier: It amazing, but it hasn’t reached god tier/s-tier yet.
B-tier: Good but not the worst thing for me.
C-tier: Meh. It’s alright, just not greatest thing, but not too bad. Just lacking for me
D-tier: Awful, truly awful. This is my least favorite and hated trope…EVER!

Give me your trope tier list for this year. New tropes, old tropes, it doesn’t matter what, just give me your own trope tier list from science-fiction and fantasy.

Let’s have a discussion before the year ends.

Thoughts and feelings?

If you need help figuring out the tropes, go to this site and they can provide some assistance.

Strangely, I wasn’t able to find any list of tropes on the TV Tropes site, but Wiki has a few:

Anyway, I can’t think of any tropes I particularly love or hate. They’re all good, it just depends on the character study and what happens in the book. (੭ˊᵕˋ)੭‧˚₊・*̥✧

Which reminds me, I bought In the Lives of Puppets today. It’s supposed to be a retelling of Pinocchio with robots and AI, so it sounds like a sci-fi fantasy. We’ll see!

Well, I actually wanted you to list some tropes that you’ve liked or dislike in science-fiction and/or fantasy.

The link for tvtropes was just there to help if you can’t remember a certain trope or wanted to be certain of the right trope you like or disliked.

I listed the ranking list in tiers of which ranks the highest and lowest for you trope wise.

If none caught your eye for this year, then you can list down the ones that you like/love and dislike/hat period.

Sorry if I wasn’t as clear as I thought I was.

No, I understood you. I just don’t care about tropes when I read. But maybe you could make a list of all the ones you love and hate and ask people to tier rank those…? ¯\_(ﭢ)_/¯

Thank you and excuse me for a bit.
