Your soon-to-be famous writing routine!

You’ve seen those videos “I wrote like a famous author!” where someone tries out a famous author’s writing routine for a day, week or whatever. I’ve seen those videos for everyone from Hemingway to Greta Gerwig. ☜(ˆ▿ˆc)

So let’s say you become a famous successful author, and suddenly everyone on YouTube wants to copy your routine. What’s it going to look like for those poor shmucks? (♯^.^ღ)

On a Saturday, mine would look like this...

9 am Pretend to wake up, get dressed, brush teeth, have a meal shake
10 am Turn on computer and see if the world is still here
11 am Update my NaNo word count from the previous night, if I remember
12 pm Go to the gym
1 pm Eat lunch and think about working on book
2 pm Visit Wacky Writers instead
3 pm Check out favorite litmags to get into the mood to write
4 pm When that doesn’t work, check YouTube instead
5 pm Write a few hundred words, or even 200
6 pm Give up and read some more of someone else’s book
7 pm Have another meal shake, mostly to kill time while thinking
8 pm Try to write some more. Maybe I’ll make it to 300 this time!
9 pm Visit Wacky again
10 pm Read some more of whatever book I’m reading
11 pm Promise to write tomorrow, then take a shower before bed
12 am Hit the sack

I don’t have a routine.

I just write for what feels like an hour.

Mine would look like “Needs medication”.

The chorus is the advice I’m going to give to aspiring writers.

People would like mine cause I don’t start writing until the afternoon or evening :joy:

I honestly can’t figure all those writers who like to write in the morning. I mean, it’s fine if you want to, but who has their their head together that early? Not me! ¯\_(ﭢ)_/¯

I am the most creative after dinner, because that’s when I am the most awake, alone and can think harder.

Go about my daily life until I feel like writing… Do some mass cram writing (about three chapters or so, then spend the next few weeks editing). The End.

That’s about it really…
